We should change the company name? 28 years ago, our founder Matthew Gilling started the business and nailed the name. Computer Help... if you want Computer Help call Computer Help... Simples right? Nah... I can't recall the last time I had a conversation with a customer that revolved around the electronic box. Every customer has a story, The broken box is never the real reason why they are angry, tearful or frustrated. It's almost always got something to do with the loss of human connection and communication. One of the bridges to the world outside our bubble has collapsed... where are our friends, lovers, family, or business prospects gone, will they know I am missing? The fear and anxiety begins - lost memories, love never found, the fear of missing out. The feeling of vulnerability or feeling of being unsafe, separated from our life earnings and the regret of not being ready for this. Every customer who walks through our doors brings emotion with them — frustration, fear, sadness, and thankfully sometimes hope. I am blessed everyday to also witness the recovery, and see happiness returned, thanks to an amazing team that meets those moments with humility, empathy and determination. They work tirelessly to fix the problem, to right the wrong, driven by heart, perseverance and technical excellence.
We help someone finish a thesis, get the job, reconnect with family, feel safe and protected, and we help often we help someone stand back up.
We repair confidence, connection, and sometimes purpose and self belief because we are really in the humanity business. And I couldn’t be prouder of our team for going beyond what’s expected, every single day, with every single customer. Good on you Josh, Nate Ryan, Lea, Sandie, Judah, Paula, Gentle Giant and Matthew Gilling (By the way the name is perfect)
