The Sylius Community Edition demo is back! 🦢

We restored the Sylius CE demo for our community. It gives you a quick way to check how Sylius works in a standard setup - before installing it locally, testing it with your team, or starting a new project. The demo is based on Sylius/Sylius-Standard, with official Sylius plugins and the default setup you can expect when working with the platform out of the box.

You can use it to review:
➡️ the storefront experience,
➡️ products, variants, cart, and checkout,
➡️ customer account and order history,
➡️ admin panel for catalog, orders, promotions, shipments, and payments,
➡️ the baseline Sylius setup before project-specific customization.

For developers, it can be a quick reference point. For agencies and merchants, it helps show what comes from Sylius by default and what can be extended during implementation.

Subscription Module is available for Sylius Plus! 🦢➕

Subscription-based sales are a common model in eCommerce: recurring deliveries, renewals, memberships, services, B2B supply flows, and products purchased regularly.

The Subscription Module adds this capability to Sylius while keeping the standard product, cart, order, and checkout flow.

With the module, you can:
➡️ define subscriptions at the product variant level,
➡️ sell products as one-time purchases or subscriptions,
➡️ combine recurring and non-recurring products in one cart,
➡️ create subscriptions from placed orders,
➡️ manage subscription status, intervals, and renewal dates,
➡️ connect subscriptions with generated renewal orders,
➡️ extend the flow with custom payment or billing logic.

The demo was created with Claude, using an AI development approach. It shows what vibe coding can support in Sylius: faster prototyping, storefront adjustments, and business-flow extensions on top of a structured Symfony-based architecture.

Say hello to Ferdi, who has joined Sylius as our Key Account & Partnership Manager, with a focus on France and the Benelux region! 🦢

His role will be closely connected to something very important for Sylius: staying close to the people and companies building with our framework. As an open-source product, Sylius is used by many different teams: partners, agencies, software houses, Sylius Plus customers, and open-source users who build with Sylius independently.

We want to understand their needs better, keep the feedback loop open, and make sure the ecosystem around Sylius has a clear point of contact. Ferdi will support key account management, strengthen relationships across the ecosystem, and help us identify where collaboration can bring the most value.

We released the new Sylius PdfGenerationBundle! 🦢

It gives Sylius and Symfony projects a cleaner and more flexible way to generate PDF files. Instead of relying on one PDF rendering engine, the bundle provides a swappable abstraction with multiple adapters:
➡️ KnpSnappy for wkhtmltopdf rendering,
➡️ Dompdf for pure PHP rendering,
➡️ Gotenberg for container rendering.

This is especially important because wkhtmltopdf, the underlying engine often used with KnpSnappy, is no longer actively maintained. The abstraction also gives us room to add more rendering adapters in the future, without forcing projects to rewrite their PDF generation logic.

The bundle is already used in our plugins: RefundPlugin v2.1.0, InvoicingPlugin v2.2.0, and WishlistPlugin v1.2.0.
