Our Beekind program just took flight across two more countries, and the buzz is absolutely real! 🐝✨
In Romania, 13 colleagues suited up to visit the apiary Livada cu Amintiri where the best classrooms don't have walls, they have hives. 🐝
From deep-diving into bee genetics with beekeeper George Mitrea to tasting unripe apples in a rose-scented orchard, every moment felt like childhood memories coming alive. The real magic? Tasting acacia honey straight from the comb, warm and golden, with the bees still humming around us.
Meanwhile, in Ireland, 10 colleagues got their hands wonderfully sticky at The Canteen's Beeswax Wraps Workshop, a creative afternoon where they crafted their own reusable, planet-friendly food wraps using locally sourced beeswax from our partners at An Beach Dubh.
From learning the sticky science behind the wraps to troubleshooting wax that dried faster than expected (wax happens!), the team tackled every challenge with enthusiasm, walking away with practical alternatives to single-use plastic they'll use again and again.
