If you're up in the NE Indiana area, or can be up there the first Saturday of October and want to cover this, this is going to be an awesome experience! We've gotten a chance to see what they're building up there (the town square in that photo is SO COOL), and it's awesome. We'll be there ourselves, and hope to see you there!

MEDIA NIGHT INVITE!

Calling all journalists, photographers, videographers, influencers, haunt reviewers and other content creators interested in covering The Nightmare Factory this season.

They finally agreed to let the cameras in.

The Nightmare Factory is hosting a special media event before we open on Saturday, October 3, and we’re inviting members of the media and content creators to come see what it takes to bring Ashwix to life.

Our Media Night experience starts with an exclusive behind-the-scenes guided tour through select attractions and areas not normally open to the public. Afterward, guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments in the Black Widow Lounge, meet members of the team, and then join the public for the evening as our Ultimate VIPs with complimentary admission and no waiting in line.

As we head into haunt season, we’re taking one final look back at Midwest Haunters Convention last June.

We couldn’t think of a better way to close out the series than with these two from 13th Floor Haunted House Chicago...although only one of them appears particularly happy about it.

Here’s to an incredible 2026 haunt season. We’ll see you in the dark!

Haunt season is almost here, and we’re hitting the road!

We’ll be working on location with two clients this season: The Nightmare Factory in Wabash, IN, and Nightmare on Chicago Street in Elgin, IL. We’ll be there to document all the scares and fun, and maybe even get a little involved ourselves!

Beyond that, we’ll be visiting a number of local haunted attractions as guests, and we hope to see you there. Support your local haunts this October!

I have to be honest: when I launched Spooky Pixel Designs earlier this year, I had no idea what its first season would look like. I had hoped that MAYBE we'd get a little bit of work while we focused on getting our name out there.

I knew I wanted SPD to be a creative agency built by haunters, for haunters, focused on genuine partnerships and helping the industry be the best it can be. I believed there was a place for that in this industry. But never did I think I'd get to say THIS:

Spooky Pixel Designs is officially FULLY BOOKED for 2026.

To our clients who have brought us on to help with your attraction, your story, and your season: thank you. I’m incredibly grateful for the faith you’ve placed in this little agency I'm building—and unbelievably proud of how far we’ve already come.

Of course, being booked doesn’t mean the work is done. There are still sleepless nights ahead of us as we build social calendars, write emails, and set up campaigns.

We're all in crunch time right now, so here's wishing everyone has the BEST 2026 season, and for those of you we'll hopefully be able to come out and visit as customers, we can't wait to see the show!

🎉 Happy Birthday to the mastermind behind Spooky Pixel!

Ryan is the guy with the ideas, the event setups, and approximately 47,000 Photoshop layers open at any given moment. If something looks good, chances are he’s spent way too many hours making it that way.

Today we’re hoping he closes Photoshop… at least long enough to eat some cake.
