Good morning. Eleven years ago, Cultivating Coders introduced a concept that was considered ambitious: creating an environment for young people in areas with limited computer science education to learn, thrive, and compete globally in the tech industry. Nine years ago, a young man from Albuquerque, Katon Luaces, participated in our summer coding programs, traveled abroad with us for ethical hacking challenges, and excelled at a high level. He then took his experience, talents, and ambitions to Columbia University, where he continued to succeed. During this time, he interned and eventually secured a position at Google, where he once again excelled.
Fast forward to 2023, Katon, like many ambitious and talented individuals, decided to embark on the entrepreneurial path and co-founded PointOne with Jeremy. Please take a moment to learn about their journey and see what young people can achieve when given access to high-quality education in areas that often lack such opportunities.
