Yesterday was one for the books. 💫 It was a defining moment where I was reminded once again that the path I’m on is part of my destiny.

Smiles can be deceiving! Real talk…. Yesterday I was tired! Hell I am still tired, but I was like is this really what I signed up for. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

The answer is no… but the truth is this is was I was made for!

When times get hard and they will…. Lean into your circle for guidance, be ready to ask the listen and answer the hard questions and be truthful with yourself about the answers.

Beyond the points and the accolades, I’m endlessly proud of who he is—a standout human, teammate, son, and brother.

I’m a hairstylist by trade. I took 3 years away from the chair to build LiQUiD and I’ve been back about 4 weeks.

Part of why I came back is selfish: I wanted to use as a stylist. The bigger reason is that I love DOING HAIR (all types and textures)… making people feel, heard loved and safe!

Because …this is my passion and purpose, I stepped back in and filled my books fast. I work 4 days a month, no more than 5 hours behind the chair, and it covers everything I need to cover. That’s not luck. I understand business, and I’m priced for it. It doesn’t matter where you are in this journey your foundation has to be solid if it’s not as you continue to build that foundation will feel like quicksand…
