🛡️ Cyber Guardian Daily — Saturday, October 31, 2026 (Morning Update)

1️⃣ IVANTI VPN ALERT — CISA added Ivanti Connect Secure flaws CVE-2026-111357 and CVE-2026-118527 to its exploited list Oct 30. Chained with an earlier bypass, they can give unauthenticated root access. Update to 25.1.1.3 or 22.8R2.6.

2️⃣ WORDPRESS UNDER FIRE — Wordfence blocked 62,969 attempts in 24 hours targeting a WordPress Core flaw (4.7–7.1.3). Update to 7.1.4 and check for unfamiliar admin accounts.

3️⃣ CHAINALYSIS BREACH — Chainalysis disclosed Oct 30 that attackers accessed customer names, emails, user IDs and role labels. Passwords, MFA secrets and investigation data were not affected, it says.

4️⃣ CHATGPT LINK FIXED — A shared ChatGPT link could run code in a signed-in session and read private chats, researchers showed. OpenAI fixed it Oct 26; no real-world abuse reported.

💡 Tip: Patch VPNs and websites first, use MFA, and be cautious with unexpected shared links.

1️⃣ BINANCE HACK — Binance confirmed a ~$6.3B theft on Oct 29; about $3B has been frozen and withdrawals remain paused. Researchers link it to North Korea-linked hackers; Binance says it will cover losses.

2️⃣ DRUPAL COMMERCE EXPLOITED — Drupal warns CVE-2026-118539 is being actively exploited. Update Commerce Core to 3.3.13 or 8.x-2.41 and audit orders for inconsistencies.

3️⃣ TEAMVIEWER PATCH — Update to TeamViewer 15.83: flaw CVE-2026-111585 (8.8) could let a malicious or compromised host run code on a support technician's viewer system during a session. No exploitation in the wild is known.

4️⃣ WORDPRESS UNDER ATTACK — Wordfence recorded 18,500+ attempts targeting the WordPress 7.1.4 upgrade-window flaw in 21 hours. Confirm your site is on 7.1.4 or its patched branch.

💡 Tip: Patch first, then check accounts and orders for unusual activity — and trust updates only from the vendor's or exchange's official channels.

🛡️ Cyber Guardian Daily — Thursday, October 29, 2026 (Evening Update)

1️⃣ IVANTI VPN PATCHED — Ivanti fixed CVE-2026-11357 and CVE-2026-118527 on Oct 29, for a Connect Secure chain exploited since early Oct to steal credentials. Patch and reset them.

2️⃣ GITLAB KEV — CISA added GitLab CVE-2026-97229 (CVSS 10.0) to its exploited list Oct 29, due Nov 1. Self-hosted users should update GitLab and Ruby — upgrading GitLab alone may not fix custom installs.

3️⃣ DHS DATA EXPOSED — More than 40,000 DHS staff had names, phone numbers and office assignments exposed Oct 29. Watch for impersonation messages using real staff details.

4️⃣ POLYMARKET BREACH — Polymarket halted its international exchange Oct 29 after a third-party provider was compromised; trading is restored and affected traders will be reimbursed. Reports put losses at about $2.7M; its U.S. platform was unaffected.

💡 Tip: Patch VPN and GitLab first, check for unusual logins, and verify urgent messages via official channels, not links in them.

🛡️ Cyber Guardian Daily — Thursday, October 29, 2026 (Morning Update)

1️⃣ PHP2SHELL EXPLOITED — Palo Alto Networks warned Oct 28 that attackers are actively exploiting PHP2Shell flaws (CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619) against internet-exposed management interfaces. Patch PHP and restrict management access to trusted addresses.

2️⃣ CISCO VPN FLAW — Cisco patched CVE-2026-76418 Oct 28, an actively exploited ASA/FTD flaw that can force a firewall to reload via SSL VPN when secondary authentication is set. Update internet-facing devices first.

3️⃣ BROTLI / NODE2SHELL — CISA added CVE-2026-111497 to its exploited list Oct 27, with exploit attempts now reported. Update Node.js and .NET, rebuild containers, and check for bundled Brotli decoders.

💡 Tip: Patch internet-facing systems first, then check logs for reloads or webshells — patching alone does not remove prior access.

1️⃣ LINUX KERNEL KEV — CISA added Fragnesia (CVE-2026-46300) Oct 28, chained with PHP2Shell to plant webshells and run commands as root. Federal deadline Oct 31. Patch the kernel and PHP, then reboot.

2️⃣ FAKE FIREFOX WALLETS — Socket found fake Phantom, Jupiter and Bitget extensions stealing recovery phrases and private keys. Listings were removed — if you installed one, remove it and move funds to a new wallet.

3️⃣ BELGIUM TAX PORTAL HIT — A cyberattack shut Belgium's online tax portal Oct 28. Officials say no sign of a data breach so far; filing deadlines will be extended.

4️⃣ MOLDOVA DATA EXPOSURE — Authorities say hackers may have extracted data linked to about 750,000 people after querying ID numbers Oct 19–23. Watch for bank or government impersonation scams.

💡 Tip: Never type a wallet recovery phrase into an extension or website — only use official vendor links.

1️⃣ TAILSCALE SSH FIX — Tailscale released 1.104.4 fixing SSH flaws that could let an attacker on an authorized device exceed its privileges, including reaching root-only sockets. Update now and review SSH access.

2️⃣ ORACLE EBS PROBING — Probing was seen Oct 27 for CVE-2026-101767, an unauthenticated flaw in Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.3–12.2.15. Install the Oct 20 Critical Patch Update now.

3️⃣ MICROSOFT 365 TOKEN SPRAYING — Huntress found attackers replayed stolen post-MFA session tokens, with 497 successful sign-ins across 79 organizations. Revoke sessions, reset passwords, and check MFA methods and inbox rules.

4️⃣ .NET BROTLI PATCHES — Microsoft issued emergency .NET updates for the Brotli flaw (CVE-2026-111497), already on CISA's exploited list. Update .NET apps and rebuild affected containers.

💡 Tip: Patch first, then revoke any suspicious sessions — a password reset alone may not remove an attacker's access.

1️⃣ NEW CISA KEV ADDITIONS — CISA added Magento/Adobe Commerce flaw PolyShell (CVE-2026-48356) and Brotli flaw (CVE-2026-111497) as actively exploited. Federal deadline: Nov 10. Patch stores and Brotli apps, and check for webshells.

2️⃣ APPLE FIX FOR OLDER DEVICES — Apple backported a fix for exploited CoreGraphics flaw (CVE-2026-86950) to older iPhones/iPads in iOS 18.7.11. Update now.

3️⃣ AMADEY MALWARE DISRUPTED — Australia's ASD cut off a criminal Amadey controller from 180,000 infected computers. Earlier stolen credentials may still be misused — change passwords and review accounts.

4️⃣ SONY NETWORK BREACH — Sony Network Communications disclosed a breach affecting about 2.58M So-net/plala records, plus email addresses and passwords for 54,401 email accounts. Change reused passwords and enable MFA.

💡 Tip: Patch today, use a unique password per account, and be wary of messages using your personal details to look legitimate.

1️⃣ PHP2SHELL NOW EXPLOITED — CISA added two PHP flaws (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, CVSS 9.2) to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Patch PHP to 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 or 8.2.35 now.

2️⃣ BROTLI FLAW HITS PAN-OS — Palo Alto confirmed CVE-2026-111497 (CVSS 9.2) affects PAN-OS 12.2, 12.1 and 11.2. Apply the listed hotfixes.

3️⃣ AUTHENTICATOR FIX — A flaw in Microsoft Authenticator for Android could let a malicious app take over a work account. Update to version 6.2606.4246 or later.

4️⃣ GMO RANSOMWARE THREAT — Japan's GMO Internet warned Onamae users after attackers threatened a ransomware attack and data leak, and said it refused a $50M ransom demand.

💡 Tip: Patch PHP and PAN-OS today, update Authenticator, and install apps only from trusted stores.

1️⃣ GITLAB CRITICAL FLAW — GitLab fixed CVE-2026-110264 (CVSS 10.0), an unauthenticated remote code ex*****on flaw. Update to a fixed release now.

2️⃣ ORACLE MEGA PATCH — Oracle's October update fixes 1,209 vulnerabilities, including 95 critical ones, across Fusion Middleware, MySQL, Java SE and more. Apply it promptly.

3️⃣ LITELLM SUPPLY-CHAIN ATTACK — Version 1.107.0 of the AI gateway was compromised to steal cloud credentials and AI service secrets. If you used it, rotate keys and check AWS activity.

4️⃣ BANDIT UPDATE — 11 high-severity flaws in Bandit could let unauthenticated requests exhaust server resources. Update to version 1.14.0.

💡 Tip: Patch GitLab, Oracle and Bandit today, and rotate any cloud or AI keys that may have been exposed.

1️⃣ NODE2SHELL SPREADS TO GO — Sweet Security: the Brotli flaw now affects Go code too — Traefik, Fiber and Iris use it. Inventory Go HTTP services and check for patched Brotli builds.

2️⃣ WORDPRESS RISK — ACF Extended before 0.9.2.8 can let an unauthenticated visitor overwrite posts and reach code ex*****on, plus an admin-takeover flaw. Update to 0.9.2.8 today.

3️⃣ PATCH BY TOMORROW — CISA's deadline for exploited Collabora (CVE-2026-110447, 9.2) and Arista VeloCloud (CVE-2026-114625, 9.9) is Mon, Oct 26. Patch now or remove the built-in Collabora server.

4️⃣ CLICKFIX TRAP — A fake CAPTCHA chain abuses Windows finger.exe to install Lumma Stealer and a hidden remote-access client. Never paste a command from a pop-up into Run or PowerShell.

💡 Tip: Update WordPress and servers promptly, and treat any "verify you're human" instruction to run a command as a scam.
