PLEASE PAY ATTENTION! We have been seeing this brewing for some time, and now it is accelerating. We can't stress enough how important is it to support your local venues and events! Just like Blockbuster, the big ones can and will fail when they choose to not value you, the customer. We have 8 National level tour shows at General Duffy’s Waterhole this summer, so help us all by supporting affordable shows right in your backyard.

The touring industry has a new name for its current struggle: Blue Dot Fever. The phrase, a reference to the sea of blue dots representing unsold seats on Ticketmaster seating maps, is being used to describe the wave of tour cancellations and postponements hitting major artists in 2026. This week, Post Malone, Meghan Trainor, and The Pussycat Dolls became the latest high-profile acts to pull back on North American dates, citing the "mysterious illness" of low ticket sales as the primary driver.

While the reunion of The Pussycat Dolls was highly anticipated, the band recently announced they would be focusing on their European leg, effectively canceling their North American run due to the "fever." Industry insiders suggest that a combination of high ticket prices, venue oversizing, and a crowded summer market has led to the current "recalibration." While major headliners are feeling the sting, some experts believe the shift could create room for smaller and independent artists to reclaim venue space as the industry works to find a more sustainable balance for fans' wallets.

We just advanced the technical details with Jacquie about this show and I gotta say, the energy being put into the 2026 Kickin Concert Series is full throttle!
