Most phishing emails no longer look like phishing emails. They look like Tuesday.
The new generation does not arrive with spelling errors and a prince. It arrives as a familiar vendor with a changed bank account, an IT notice about a password expiring today, or a shipping confirmation for something you actually ordered. The writing is clean, the logo is right, and the only tell is small: a sender domain one letter off, a link that goes somewhere slightly different, urgency that does not quite make sense.
Three habits that catch most of them:
1. Hover before you click. Read the real destination, not the words on the link.
2. Verify urgent requests on a channel you already trust. A thirty-second call beats a compromised account.
3. Treat any email asking for credentials, payments, or gift cards as hostile until proven otherwise.
Security awareness is not a one-time training video. It is a habit your whole team keeps, and it is one of the cheapest layers of defense a growing business can build.
C3TS helps businesses layer practical security and awareness on top of managed IT, so the human layer is protected too.
