As a proud Jewish woman—and a mother whose daughter grew up going to Jewish overnight camp, where she made lifelong friendships and some of her happiest memories—I am absolutely disgusted and heartbroken that something like this could happen.
Our children should be able to feel safe in the places that are supposed to be their happy places. We need to do better. We need to be more vigilant, protect our children, and recognize that sometimes the danger comes from the monsters we never expected to be there.
We cannot let fear take away these incredible experiences from our kids—but we must do everything we can to keep them safe. 💙
