Sepsis is the body’s life-threatening response to an infection, affecting more than 1.7 million adults and 18,000 children in the U.S. each year. At least 350,000 adults who develop sepsis die during hospitalization or are discharged to hospice, according to the CDC.

Early recognition can be critical. Clinical surveillance can help care teams continuously evaluate patient data and surface changes that may warrant closer clinical review.

This Sepsis Awareness Month, let’s raise awareness of sepsis and the role earlier recognition and greater visibility can play in supporting care teams and the patients they serve.

Two Medicare beneficiaries receive care through 2 different programs.

One is enrolled in Medicare Advantage. The other is covered by traditional Medicare.

We compared their outcomes.

Inovalon’s Christie Teigland, PhD, joins Sari Siegel, PhD, of AHIP and Fredric Blavin, PhD, of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association to unpack the research, the methodology and what the findings tell us about measuring Medicare quality.

Digital quality measurement now has dates attached. But they’re not deadlines yet.

CMS is signaling a potential path for MSSP ACOs to move toward digital quality reporting using clinical data exchanged through HL7® FHIR® with optional reporting as early as CY 2028 and required reporting for applicable measures by CY 2030.

While those dates aren’t binding, they are the clearest signal of where CMS is headed.

For ACO leaders, the question is what needs to be in place before they become requirements.

dQM goes beyond a new submission format. It requires the ability to turn clinical data into accurate, computable measures and could give ACOs earlier visibility into performance and care gaps.

In her latest blog post, Courtney Breece separates what CMS proposed from what remains open and outlines what ACO leaders can start working through now.

Healthcare leadership is evolving rapidly, and some of the most valuable insights come from conversations with peers facing the same challenges.

We're excited to launch CMO Conversations—an invite-only community moderated by Paige Kilian, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Inovalon.

Each month, physician leaders will come together to discuss the priorities shaping healthcare today, including strengthening support for care teams, expanding patient access, applying AI responsibly, advancing value-based care, and improving outcomes.

CMO Conversations offers a confidential environment to exchange perspectives, pressure-test ideas, and learn from peers navigating similar decisions.

Our inaugural virtual session takes place on Thursday, October 15. If you're a physician leader interested in joining a community of peers to exchange perspectives and tackle today's healthcare challenges, request access to CMO Conversations today. https://www.inovalon.com/lp/cmo-conversations/?utm_campaign=26-COR-OSO-LIN-260427CMOConversations&utm_medium=organic-social&utm_source=linkedin-organic

Your packing list may need a little extra room.

At Booth #211, you could be heading home with an Ember hot mug or cold tumbler, a Hatch alarm clock, or one of our iridescent tote bags.

And during the opening reception, we’re adding a gelato bar with an optional boozy topper to the mix.

Meet the people behind ScriptMed® and talk with our Pharmacy experts about the workflows your team is navigating every day.

Fun swag to take home. Even better conversations to take back to your team.

Inovalon surveyed more than 400 revenue cycle leaders across acute, ambulatory, and post-acute care to understand what’s driving denials and what organizations are doing to prevent them.

The research points upstream.

Our new white paper, Claim Denials: Prevention Strategies, explores where denials are originating, how prevention strategies differ across care settings, and where RCM leaders see opportunities for AI to help.

Inovalon's Clinical Collaboration Council has a challenge for you.

is coming together to donate blood, and we’re asking you to help us reach our goal by September 30.

Blood is needed every two seconds in the U.S. And with September marking both Sickle Cell Awareness Month and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, it’s a timely reminder of the patients and families who depend on a readily available blood supply.

To participate, complete the form here: https://ow.ly/kuZw50ZGkAP

Schedule an appointment and roll up your sleeve.

Whether you donate in honor of someone or simply because you can, every donation starts with someone deciding to show up.

You verified eligibility when the patient scheduled. Then the coverage changed.

By the time your team discovers it, the claim may already be denied.

That gap between scheduling and the date of service is one reason eligibility continues to create downstream problems.

In our recent research with more than 400 revenue cycle leaders, eligibility and benefits verification emerged as a leading front-end contributor to claim denials.

Explore how recurring and real-time eligibility verification can help teams identify coverage changes sooner, reduce repetitive work, and keep claims moving. https://ow.ly/uiP450ZCwO6

Here's what we heard at KanTime 2026.

Agencies are looking for better ways to improve reimbursement without creating more work for billing teams.

Catching eligibility and claims issues earlier to help reduce preventable denials and keep revenue moving is one of the biggest opportunities for improvement.

Join us at September 1 at 1 PM ET to learn strategies for connecting eligibility and claims and reducing preventable denials to keep revenue moving.
