Welcome Jim Morrison to Bear Creek!

Everyone at Combine Golf is excited to welcome Jim Morrison to the Bear Creek Complex. Jim is a PGA Associate Golf Professional with more than a decade of experience helping golfers of all ages and skill levels improve their game.

Jim brings a player-centered coaching approach that blends sound fundamentals, movement efficiency, and performance mindset. His background includes collegiate golf at National University and professional competition on the Southern California Pepsi Tour and the Golden State Tour.

Before beginning his career in golf instruction, Jim proudly served five years in the United States Navy, an experience that helped shape the leadership, discipline, and focus he brings to every lesson.

Throughout his career, Jim has coached players across Southern California and Arizona, working with juniors and adults at facilities including Vista Valley Country Club, Twin Oaks Golf Course, Goat Hill Park, and Dobson Ranch Golf Course. He has also been deeply involved with junior development through programs such as The First Tee, Fit Kids, the North County Junior Golf Association, and the Pops and Junior Youth Golf Program.

Jim holds teaching certifications with the PGA of America, FlowCode Golf, Mind Factor, and NASM, and specializes in helping golfers develop efficient movement patterns, improve ball striking, and perform with confidence on the course.

This past weekend we hosted a TaylorMade Demo Day at Bear Creek — and what a great turnout. Huge thank you to all the golfers who came out to test, get fit, and invest in their games.One story that stood out…
Jared first came to one of our Combine Golf Schools at Bear Creek. Through our assessment process, we were able to clearly identify where he was losing strokes — and a big part of it wasn’t just technique…It was equipment. His wedges simply weren’t optimized for his swing delivery or turf interaction. That’s costing shots most golfers never even realize they’re giving away. Fast forward to this weekend — we got Jared completely dialed in with properly fit TaylorMade wedges built around his numbers, his delivery, and his scoring patterns.

“Should I get fitted for my wedges?”
