Soloinsight

Soloinsight Soloinsight, Inc., was founded on the driving principles of automation and security, to improve operational efficiencies. Endless Single Sign On possibilities.

It has grown into a leading platform adopted by a wide variety of companies from mid-size, growth-oriented firms to Fortune 100. Soloinsight's CloudGate platform replaces keys, physical badges, passwords and security tokens with secure digital identity badges delivered via smartphones and proprietary 3D Facial Recognition "without" requiring special hardware. These digital badges give organization

s the ability to lock down logical and physical assets with strong, convenient multi-factor authentication while automating compliance workflows and feedback collection through powerful artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. The platform orchestrates into hundreds of enterprise tools, devices, machines, locks, gates and vehicles and make them all smart, safe, secure, convenient and contextually aware. Microsoft cited CloudGate as "Internet of People" and a catalyst to fourth industrial revolution in a recent joint Press Release...

You can run five different access control systems and still not be able to answer one simple question.

Who has access to what, across the entire organization?

For enterprises that grew through acquisition, that question can take weeks, because the answer is scattered across platforms that were never meant to talk to each other.

Standardizing on a single system everywhere is the textbook fix. In practice it is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar project that disrupts every site it touches, and many never see it through.

CloudGate offers a different starting point. Govern above the systems you already have.

One layer across every PACS platform delivers:
- A single identity record for each person, everywhere
- One set of policies applied across all sites and badges
- One unified trail that answers access questions in minutes
- No rip-and-replace, the local systems keep running

The hardware can stay fragmented. The governance does not have to be.

Insider Risk Often Starts With Access Nobody Remembered To Remove.

September is National Insider Threat Awareness Month.

Insider risk is not always a bad actor with a plan.

Sometimes it is a trusted employee who still has access to places their current role no longer requires.

Nothing may happen.

But that unnecessary access still increases exposure if a badge is stolen, credentials are misused, or someone simply makes a mistake.

CloudGate helps keep physical access aligned with current need:

β†’ Access scoped to role and responsibility
β†’ Rights removed when the business need ends
β†’ Excess access surfaced through ongoing review
β†’ Clear visibility into what each identity can reach

Reducing insider risk does not mean trusting people less.

It means making sure trust is supported by governance.

Think about who shapes a single person's access over their time at an organization.

HR creates the identity and ends it. IT often holds the identity systems. Security sets the rules at the door. Facilities runs the buildings and the badges. Each plays a real part, and each sees only their slice.

When responsibility is shared four ways and owned by none, the gaps are predictable. Offboarding that one team thinks another handled. Access nobody can fully explain because no single team has the whole picture.

Physical access is not an IT problem or a security problem or a facilities problem. It is a governance problem that crosses all of them.

gives those teams a shared place to stand.

One governance layer becomes common ground:
- A single identity record everyone works from
- Policy that applies the same way across every team's systems
- Lifecycle events that fire across all of them at once
- One record that answers to security, IT, HR, and facilities alike

Access gets safer not when one team tries harder, but when all of them finally share the same source of truth.

Meet the leadership team at this September.

One wrong access decision can become a food safety incident.

A maintenance contractor needs to reach a packaging line.

Getting there may mean crossing hygiene-controlled areas where the wrong person, without the right training or authorization, becomes more than a security concern.

They become a contamination risk.

A valid badge alone cannot make that decision.

CloudGate brings the sanitation boundary into the access decision.

β†’ Hygiene and safety requirements checked before access
β†’ Zone authorization matched to role and task
β†’ Contractors and visitors limited to approved areas
β†’ Access tied to the required work window
β†’ Audit-ready records supporting traceability

The question is not simply whether someone can enter the building.

It is whether they should be allowed into that production zone, for that task, at that time.

Protecting what comes off the line starts with governing who gets near it.

Your access logs are full of facts & empty of answers.

A door opened at 2:14. A credential was used. An entry was recorded. Multiply that by millions of events, and you have a perfect history of what happened and no explanation of why any of it was allowed.

When an auditor or an investigator arrives, the log is rarely the hard part. The hard part is the context that lives nowhere: who approved this access, under what policy, for how long, and whether it should still have been active at all.

That context is the difference between an event and a decision.

CloudGate records the decision, not just the door.

Every access event carries its reasoning with it:
- The approval and the policy behind the grant
- The scope it was limited to
- The lifespan it was given
- The lineage from request to expiry, in one place

A log says a door opened. Governance shows why it was allowed to. Only one of those answers the questions that matter when someone asks.

A Manufacturing Site Runs On Shifts, Seasons, And Temporary Labor. Static Access Cannot Keep Up.

A line ramps up for a seasonal push and brings on dozens of temporary workers.

Six weeks later they are gone.

Their badges, often, are not.

Add contractors for a retooling project, agency staff covering a shift, and workers who move between areas as production changes, and the access list becomes a moving target nobody fully controls.

A badge that does not understand shifts, seasons, or assignments will always lag behind the floor.

CloudGate governs plant access the way the plant actually operates.

Access bends to the rhythm of the work:
- Tied to shift, assignment, and contract dates
- Scoped to the right areas for the right roles
- Automatically retired when a temporary engagement ends
- Recorded, so the floor's access always matches its reality

Production changes constantly. Governance is what keeps access changing with it instead of falling behind.

Five Records. One Human. No System That Knows They Are The Same.

The same individual can exist as an employee in HR, a badge holder in one PACS, a different badge holder in another, a contractor in a vendor portal, and a visitor from years ago, all at once.

The hardest question in access is not who can get in. It is whether you even know who people are.

So access piles up across identities that were never connected. Offboarding closes one and misses the rest. An audit counts five people where there is one.

Governance is impossible when you cannot agree on who the subject is.

CloudGate starts by resolving identity, then governs it.

One person becomes one governed identity:
- Records reconciled across HR, PACS, contractor, and visitor systems
- A single profile that holds every role a person plays
- Access and lifecycle managed against the person, not the fragments
- A clean answer to a deceptively hard question: who is this, really

You cannot govern access to an identity you have not resolved. CloudGate resolves it first.

In Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, The Wrong Person In The Right Room Is A Regulatory Problem.

Access to a GMP suite or cleanroom is not just about security.

It is about proving that every person who entered was qualified, authorized, and current on the requirements for that specific area.

That bar is high.

Current gowning training.
Up-to-date SOPs.
The right role for the right controlled space.

Miss one, and a routine entry can become a compliance finding.

A standard badge check cannot see that full picture.

It only knows whether the badge is valid.

CloudGate makes qualification part of the access decision.

Access to controlled areas can depend on:

β†’ Current training and certification verified before entry
β†’ Role and area authorization matched to the person
β†’ Expired requirements blocking access automatically
β†’ Audit-ready records tying every entry to a qualified identity

In a regulated environment, access is evidence.

CloudGate helps make sure that evidence holds up.

A Sensitive Report Sits In The Printer Tray, Visible To Anyone Who Walks By.

In a bank, that tray can hold account statements, trade confirmations, client files, the exact material compliance spends its days protecting everywhere else.

Someone sends it to print, gets pulled into a call, and the document sits in the open for an hour.

The network was secured. The application was governed. And then a piece of paper undid it at the last step.

CloudGate extends identity governance to the print itself.

Documents release only to the right person, at the device, on a verified tap:
- Print jobs held until the owner authenticates in person
- Release tied to identity, not a shared tray
- Sensitive output governed by the same policy as the rest of access
- A record of who printed what, and where

The last few feet of a document's journey deserve the same governance as the first. Otherwise, the most secure system in the building ends at the printer.
