Screaming happy Hive-versary to our bee, Dori! 🌟

Dori has been with our team for one year! She has an eye for aesthetics, a knack for making everything look effortlessly polished, and a creative spark that shows up in everything she touches.

Dori's favorite Hive memory from her first year? "It's SO hard to choose a favorite!

One of the best memories from being at Hive was finding out I would be going to California for the Social Media Marketing World conference. I remember being SO thrilled and couldn't wait! It was such an incredible learning experience; I had an amazing time with Aino at the conference and on our mini Cali adventures, and I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to go during my first year at Hive!

But of course, I have truly enjoyed every single day here, from our in-office days and client content shoots to our Hive happy hours and celebrating Kalli's wedding; each day is always fun and different. It has been a wonderful year full of learning and joy, and I am so lucky to have this as my first full-time job!"

We're working with Nature Connection Lab on their brand refresh and website and welcome Restore Recovery Care as a full-service client!

🌼 Nature Connection Lab is a Charlottesville-based nonprofit bringing the science of nature connectedness to schools, mental health centers, organizations, and communities, helping people at every level build programs that support well-being and inspire a deeper relationship with the natural world.

💉 Restore Recovery Care is the luxury, concierge-level post-op recovery service for facial plastic surgery patients. The company is led by a 20+ year surgical nurse with deep facial-plastics specialization. Carla Wright, RN, Restore Recovery Care, provides dedicated, one-on-one care and white-glove service from the first pre-op consultation to the final day of recovery, wherever patients choose to heal.

Kalli has been with our team for five years! She is our Meta Business Suite queen bee and equal parts creative and incredibly, impressively organized.

Kalli’s favorite memory in the last five years? “UGH, this is so hard!

I love our Hive photoshoots. They’re creative, chaotic in the best way, and somehow Dori always manages to make every single one of us look amazing.

Or, when a reel hits! The team loves it, the client is obsessed, and it out-performs the previous top post.

But if I’m being honest, having the team at my wedding was a highlight. When Matt and I got engaged, the team was so thrilled; I think there were even screams of excitement. It meant so much to me to have my coworkers there on our wedding day, celebrating alongside us.

I’m incredibly lucky to work somewhere where my teammates genuinely care about me and celebrate work wins and life milestones.”

We're excited to add a new Harrisonburg restaurant to our hive!

🍽️ Table 1888 offers French-American dining in the historic Joshua Wilton House. They've recently renovated inside and out, creating a space that honors everything longtime guests already love: amazing food and drinks, genuinely good hospitality, and a real sense of community. Just elevated.

A few months back, we launched a website redesign for Building Goodness Foundation (BGF), an incredible local non-profit that builds and renovates community spaces both in Charlottesville and abroad. 🔨🌎

Over the last 25 years, BGF has built countless homes and community buildings, and naturally, their old website had accumulated many pages, blogs, and resources. Together, we worked to create a new site structure that simplified their project highlights and made information easier to access for volunteers, nonprofit partners, and sponsors. With a modern design, integrated animations, translation tools, and a simplified way to highlight recent projects, their new website now reflects the ways they've evolved as an organization and tells the story of their impact.

Back in May, we got to celebrate one of our own as Kalli tied the knot 🥂 Beyond grateful we got to be there for such a special day. We're still smiling thinking about it.
