Go see the USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets this Saturday!

Thanks to Heitmeyer Concrete, this Saturday's race at Millstream Speedway will pay $1,000 to win, $150 to start for the USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets presented by Performance Electronics, Ltd.. Its Family Fun Night so bring the kids and support local dirt track racing at this iconic Findlay Ohio speedway. We will be joined by the Great Lakes Super Sprints, Great Lakes Lightning Sprints, trucks and Late Models. Open pits from 4-5 to meet the drivers!

Many of you are already familiar with Tim, even if you haven’t met him in person at one of the many races or trade shows he attends with PE. If you have been at some of the same events, you’ve probably seen him. He’s always around offering on-site support, and he’s hard to miss with that beard! And if you’ve stopped by the PE booth at a race, there’s a good chance you’ll find him serving up some good barbecue… because if there’s one thing Tim is passionate about as much as engines, racing and PE products, it’s food! He’s our resident office BBQ guru, and we consider ourselves pretty lucky on the days he fires up the smoker at PE.

Tim’s also passionate about taking care of our customers. If you’ve ever had a technical question, needed help with a product, or reached out with a sales inquiry, there’s a good chance you’ve interacted with him. We’re confident that interaction was a helpful and positive one!

We’re grateful for all the knowledge, personality, and of course, the good eats he brings to PE. Congratulations on 8 years, Tim! 🏁

Performance Electronics has deep roots at the University of Cincinnati. The company was born through Formula SAE, we continue to hire UC co-ops and graduates, and we’re proud to support Bearcat Motorsports through sponsorship and technical support.

UC has been part of the PE story from the beginning, and we’re proud to continue giving back to the university and supporting the next generation of engineers.

For me, being a Bearcat for Life means staying connected to the university that helped shape my future and investing in the students who will shape its future for years to come.

🏍️ 2 Wheel Tuesday 🌏🇯🇵

Some of our favorite partnerships started with a simple question:

"Can we make this work?"

Several years ago, JAM co.,ltd. - Project & Factory JAM in Japan recognized the need for a modern ignition solution for the country's thriving performance motorcycle scene. Many of Japan's race bikes still run carburetors, so they don't need the fuel injection control of a full ECU—but they still demand precise, programmable ignition.

That's where Performance Electronics and our PE3-IG2 ignition ECU came in.

The PE3-IG2 delivers the advanced ignition control of a full engine management system without the added size, complexity, or cost. It was exactly what JAM Co. was looking for, and that's where our partnership began.

JAM Co. became the first company to develop model-specific PE3-IG2 kits for the Japanese market. Today, they're helping grow the Performance Electronics brand by training other performance shops to become authorized PE3-IG2 distributors, expanding our reach throughout Japan.

The partnership has produced impressive results, too. Earlier this spring at the Taste of Tsukuba Hercules class, the winning OVER RACING OV-43 was equipped with a PE3-IG2—and five of the top seven bikes were running our ignition system!

We're proud that our products, designed and built here in the USA, are helping racers and builders succeed on the other side of the world. Thank you to Kiyoyuki Naruke at JAM Co. for believing in Performance Electronics and for continuing to grow our partnership.

🌍 Wild Wheels Wednesday 🌍

We asked for unique customer builds... and this one came up a few feet short. 😄

This Wild Wheels feature comes to us from across the pond in the UK, where Toffs Newton is bringing this awesome 20+ year old MiniShorty back to life.

A MiniShorty is exactly what it sounds like—a classic Mini with the middle section (and in this case, also the roof) removed, creating one seriously unique ride that's guaranteed to turn heads.

Toffs ordered one of our PE Wideband O₂ Controllers to help get this little machine running as smooth as it looks, and we love seeing our products become part of projects like this.

A huge thank you to Toffs for the order, and for sharing the photo and the story behind what we think may be the darn cutest car ever! It's always fun seeing where our products end up around the world!
