100G is here, and it's different.
→ A 100G link is four lanes of 25 gig running side by side, in step. Only one of them has to fail.
→ 100G means more throughput, but fewer guardrails. And when it fails, that's not one ticket. That's the whole building.
→ Between speed, lanes and FEC there are about thirty possible combinations on the port, and nothing negotiates. Trial and error isn't a valid strategy.
Faster speeds are moving from the data center and into enterprise networks, but until recently there hasn't been an ideal way to validate those links. That's why we created the 100G — the first-ever network tester designed for enterprise networks.
