Some brands don’t need a revolution – sometimes they need someone who can help keep the identity people love, while embracing the next chapter ahead 💙

We’re grateful I Am Boundless trusted us with exactly that. When the nonprofit was acquired by their new parent company Merakey, the question wasn’t whether to change but how to evolve it gracefully.

Over a focused 4-week sprint we: Reworked the logo, while honoring its history. Brightened the palette so it can sit confidently with Merakey’s. Built a complete toolbox with a type system for the whole organization to use. And finally, wrote language guidelines rooted in respect for the people and communities Boundless serves.

2x per week check-ins. 24-hour feedback loop. A client team fully engaged on every call, even while navigating an acquisition. That’s what made this fast and complete.

The result: a brand that feels instantly familiar and genuinely new. Same mission, new chapter – and we’re proud to have helped carry that forward.

The Love of Languages 5K is happening this Sunday, September 20 at 10 a.m. 💬👟

The OSU College of Arts & Sciences created the event to celebrate language learning and bring more people into the conversation. We helped give it an identity built to do the same.
Starting with the idea of language as conversation, we created a flexible visual system of speech bubbles, hand-drawn punctuation, diacritical marks and ASL gestures — then carried it across race-day tees, postcards, totes, pins, water bottles and more.

We also created a guide that gives the College the tools to keep building on the identity long after race day.

So get out there and walk/run for your Love of Languages this Sunday, at the RPAC North Plaza, near The Buckeye Bike Hub (337 Annie and John Glenn Ave). We'll see you there!

Meet Hallie — Bonfire Red's first-ever full-time Senior Copywriter, and the newest winner of our Fuel Award. In under 6 months she's touched 6+ client projects, found the right word approximately one million times, and reminded all of us that "creative" isn't a job title — it's a way of paying attention. We asked her a few questions. She gave us zero fluff and one Tove Lo recommendation.

We’re grateful ScottsMiracle-Gro trusted us to help elevate the Amazon experience for MossEx, WeedEx, DiseaseEx, and GrubEx.

Together, we created A+ content designed to help shoppers quickly understand products, find the right solution, and purchase with confidence.

The result is a cleaner, more engaging experience that feels true to the Scotts brand.

The team called it fresh, immersive, and modern — and we're proud to have been part in helping this industry leader.

Some projects feed you 🍽️
This one did — literally and figuratively.

SŌW Plated is more than a restaurant. It's a mission built around a simple but powerful idea: food is medicine. Founders Sunny and John Fahlgren created SŌW to inspire healthier, happier communities through great food, genuine hospitality, and a real commitment to the connection between what you eat and how you feel.

We worked with them from the very start — building the visual identity and brand system for their first location in Upper Arlington. The goal was a flexible logo and brand system that could grow with them. And grow it did — into SŌW To Go cafés, an organic market, w**e, merchandise, and Live SŌW Well, a community wellness event series.

One brand. Many expressions. All rooted in the same identity we built together.

We're proud to have helped plant the seed. 🌱

There’s something satisfying about seeing your first print piece out in the world — especially when the people behind the paper notice the details, too.

Big thanks to Neenah Paper and Packaging for featuring our self-promo brochure on The Idea Shop blog after our favorite rep, Hope Sowders, fell in love with a recent project we printed entirely on Neenah stock. Safe to say we were pretty excited when this one made the cut.

From the CLASSIC® Techweave texture to the ASTROBRIGHTS® Orbit Orange flash and stitched binding, this piece was designed to reward the second look — and the second touch.

Appreciate the shoutout from a brand that understands print still has a way of making people stop, think, and feel. 🤌✨

This one had real wattage. ⚡

We got to help build Charge — American Electric Power - AEP's technology incubator with a vision of Powering What's Next in the energy sector.

Charge had something most new brands don't: a clear sense of who they were from day one. They came to us with an internally developed logo and a purpose that was genuinely exciting. What they needed was the foundation to make it all feel as legitimate on the outside as it did on the inside.

So we got to work — brand architecture, voice and tone, a core narrative rooted in ‘Thoughtful and Deliberate Innovation’, a new logo system, a signature ‘pathway’ graphic, brand applications, and a startup playbook their team could run with independently.

The goal was a brand that could show up, launch products, and grow without us.

We made something we're proud of. We'll let the work spark more conversation.

Congrats to our Senior Designer, Alex Woltz, for earning this quarter’s 100% peer-nominated Fuel Award⛽

Almost 8 years as part of our studio and he’s consistent, curious, and still getting better. Some people just make the hard work look easy.

Swipe to meet him. We’re big fans 👏

How firm thy friendship, The Ohio State University. 🤝

In 2015, 4-year-old us got invited to pitch for Ohio State’s graduate school website. What started as one project turned into something bigger: a real, lasting partnership. One built on showing up, doing the work, and proving — again and again — that we were the right team for the job.

As OSU has grown, so has its digital ecosystem — moving from standalone sites to more connected, accessible, and purpose-built experiences. Along the way, we’ve helped bring dozens of those experiences to life across various departments.

→ 15+ campus partnerships
→ 40+ digital experiences
→ 1000s of hours across strategy, UX, content, illustration, animation, and development

But the number we’re proudest of? 11.

Because in this industry, an 11-year relationship like that doesn’t happen by accident. Thank you, Ohio State — working with you has made us better. You’ve challenged us, trusted us, and given us the room to do work we’re genuinely proud of.

Here’s to the next decade. OH — IO. 🌰
