Every relationship has a beginning and an end.

"Socializer" is learning someone new, showing up, letting someone in.

"Freedom" is the gut punch of watching that chapter close for them before it closes for you.

Courtesy Call just dropped both songs and the full story hurts in the best way.

Go stream the double single now.

Your weekend plans just found you 🎡🎶

The bands at Verona Hometown Days are going to be so good this year.

Friday night kicks off with Small Blind Johnny and Foo Foo Dolls, Saturday is packed with Just Merl & A Girl, Rat River Boys, and Cherry Pie, and Sunday wraps up with Old Soul Society ✨

Live music, carnival rides, snacks you only eat at festivals, and staying out way later than planned. Sounds like summer to me.

Wisconsin music fun fact!

Between 1937 and 1946, a group of dedicated folklorists fanned out across Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest with recording equipment, capturing nearly 2,000 folk performances from over 22 ethnic groups and several Indigenous nations, including Ho-Chunk, Ojibwe, and Oneida.

The songs spanned polkas, ballads, lullabies, work songs, street cries, and war anthems, all sung in the languages immigrants and native peoples brought to Wisconsin over generations.

For decades the recordings were largely forgotten, until the collection was finally inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry in 2024 alongside ABBA, Green Day, and Blondie.

Quite the setlist. What Wisconsin music history surprises you the most?

From co-writing era-defining hits for Eminem, Rihanna, and Zedd to finally telling a deeply personal story, Skylar Grey's Wasted Potential is a coming-of-age masterwork.

The 11-track album revisits a working-class Wisconsin girlhood with empathy and honesty, exploring themes of longing, sexuality, self-sabotage, and the bittersweet act of finally belonging to yourself.

A voice like heaven, lyrics like bruises.

Does this album resonate with a chapter of life you've lived?

Before "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains" were on every radio station in America, the whole thing started in a Madison, Wisconsin recording studio.

Garbage's origins trace back to Smart Studios, a Madison warehouse space founded by Butch Vig and Steve Marker, who had met at the University of Wisconsin.

The band's name came from a friend who heard their early recordings and said the music "sounds like garbage," and somehow that stuck.

The debut album went double platinum in the US, UK, and Australia, and the band later recorded the theme song for the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough. Wisconsin to the world.

How wild is that origin story?
