It takes almost two and a half hours to get to a first interview, only to find out in the first 20 seconds it's not really a fit.

That felt inefficient to us. We wanted to build something that helps candidates actually tell their story, and helps employers get a real read on chemistry early on, because chemistry is what drives culture, and culture is everything as a company grows.

On the employer side, we also wanted to streamline the parts of hiring that waste everyone's time, automating workflows and making sure employers know who's genuinely interested, not just who applied.

Ever been hiring and thought, "this one's perfect," only for them to vanish before you even get to the offer?

It's basically dating, except the stakes are your business and the ghosting costs you actual time and money.

Here's the thing. Most hiring processes are set up to waste your time before you even get to meet someone real. Resumes, first round screenings, endless back and forth, and by the time you're face to face with an actual person, half your hiring budget is already gone.

Cnect skips all of that. First impression videos and real conversation, right from the start, so you're not gambling weeks of time just to find out if someone's a fit.

Tag someone who's currently going through hiring heartbreak. Then check out cnected.com to see how this actually works.

Here's something most companies get wrong about AI in hiring. Candidates aren't distrustful because AI is involved. They're distrustful because it feels like a black box making decisions about their future with no visibility into how.

And right now, candidates are using AI to generate applications specifically to beat AI filters. It's turned into robot versus robot, and more filtering just makes that worse.

The real fix isn't hiding the AI. It's being transparent about exactly where it helps, and making sure a human still makes the final call.

Comment SIGNAL and we'll send you an example of how this actually works in practice.

Here's something interesting. The last 15 candidate profiles I looked at for a role we have open right now? Every single one was an all star. Not most of them. All of them.

Is that a coincidence, or did the ones who weren't quite there just fall off somewhere along the way, maybe the questions got tough, maybe they weren't fully sure about it? Either way, the quality of people making it to my desk right now has been genuinely impressive.

Comment ALLSTAR and we'll send you what we think is actually filtering for this before candidates reach a hiring manager.

Goldman Sachs just named the exact spots where AI is squeezing jobs. Is yours one of them?

Call centers stand out in particular. Employment in the industry is now 39% below trend in the U.S., 33% in Canada, and 27% in Germany. Goldman said this pattern shows that AI related employment pressure is already visible in industries where automation tools are available.

Here's what stood out most in the report though. Entry level workers are feeling this pressure more than any other group in the labor market.

If entry level roles are the ones feeling this the most, where does the next generation of talent actually get their start?

If you run more than one location, you've probably noticed this. Every manager says they follow the same hiring process, but in practice, it never quite looks the same from one location to the next.

Here's why. Two steps in a typical hiring workflow, resume triage and phone screen scheduling, are almost always manual. And manual means inconsistent. One manager might screen resumes the same day. Another might let them sit for a week or two.

That inconsistency isn't a people problem. It's a process problem, because these two steps were never actually standardized across locations.

Comment LOCATION and we'll show you how to fix that without adding headcount.

Here's an old sales trick. Ask a salesperson how much they made last year, and the number you get back is almost always inflated. It's basically guaranteed.

Hiring has the same problem, just with more categories. Did they really go to school? Do they actually have that license? Those skills on the resume, are they real? It gets harder every year to verify any of it.

But there's one thing every candidate genuinely owns, their desire and how they tell their story. That's real, even when everything else is hard to confirm.

Comment STORY and we'll send you how we think about verifying what actually matters.

Here's something most hiring teams haven't caught onto yet. Job seekers are using AI to manipulate the AI reading their resumes.

Through prompt injection, candidates hide instructions using concealed or white text, invisible to a human reviewer, but fully readable to the AI processing the document. The goal is to get ranked more favorably or pushed straight to the next stage.

Duke University researchers analyzed roughly 200,000 real resumes and found at least 1% contained prompt injections designed to manipulate AI based screening. And the techniques keep getting more sophisticated, well beyond anything as obvious as "hire me."

So here's the real question. What happens when the technology evaluating candidates can be manipulated by the technology candidates are using?

If you're managing recruiting across multiple clients, this is the part of your day you're going to get back.

Cnect scores a resume against the actual requirements for a specific job, not just a generic keyword match. Skills, experience, and qualifications, summarized and scored in seconds.

This doesn't replace your team's judgment on a hiring call. It just means that judgment gets spent on candidates who've already cleared the bar, instead of getting buried in resumes that never had a shot.

Comment REPORT and we'll send you a walkthrough of how this fits into your existing client workflows.

Ever wonder if older generations actually use texting and messaging apps as much as everyone assumes? Look at the numbers. They do. It's not a generational thing anymore, it's just how people expect to communicate now.

Hiring hasn't really caught up to that yet. Some companies have added texting as an option, which helps, but it usually ends up being just another tool to manage instead of simply being the default way things work.

Across every market we work with, schools, campuses, early career, late career, the expectation is the same. People want to be reached the way they already communicate.

Comment TEXT and we'll send you where we think the line actually sits.
