Not exactly what you'd expect to find in an art museum—but that's what made "Dubuque by Design" so memorable. By exploring local history through the lens of design, this Dubuque Museum of Art exhibit uncovered the surprising ways the city's creativity has influenced everyday life.

The story of 150 years begins with a bell.

When the University of Northern Iowa opened as a school for orphaned children of the Civil War, that bell called students to class.

Today, it stands at the heart of the university’s 150th anniversary exhibit, proving that impactful storytelling isn’t about the number of artifacts on display—it’s about choosing the right one to carry the story forward.

Congratulations to the University of Northern Iowa on a milestone exhibit that so thoughtfully honors where it began and the generations it continues to inspire. It was an honor to help bring it to life.
