Earlier this year, we analyzed more than 20,000 home builder searches across Google and leading AI platforms to better understand how buyer behavior is shifting. One of the biggest takeaways was this: the average AI search is 30.3 words long.

People are asking AI much longer, more specific questions than they type into Google. That means buyers are searching with more detail, more context, and clearer intent. If your content is too broad or too shallow, it is far less likely to match the kinds of questions they are actually asking.
