More technology doesn’t always mean a better business.

New applications. New platforms. New devices. New tools.

Businesses have more technology available than ever before, but adding another solution doesn’t automatically make work easier or more efficient.

So what does Digital Transformation really look like?

In our newest Intelligent Systems Insight, we’re starting September with a different way of looking at transformation, one that starts with the business rather than the technology.

Digital Transformation Isn’t About More Technology It’s About Better Business

💡 MONDAY TECH TIP | Before You Add Another App, Check What You Already Have

When a new problem comes up, it can be tempting to find another app or software tool to solve it.

But before you add something new, take a look at the systems your team already uses.

Does one of them already have a feature, integration, or automation that could handle the job?

Using more of what you already have can mean fewer disconnected tools, less duplicate work, and fewer places for your team to manage information.

Sometimes working smarter isn't about adding more technology. It's about getting more from the technology you already have.

Some of the most valuable people in an office aren't always the loudest ones.

They're the people who know who to call.
Where to find it.
Who can help.
What happened last time.
And somehow remember that one little detail everyone else forgot. 😄

They're problem-solvers, helpers and the people coworkers know they can count on when something needs to get done.

Every workplace has them.

We're pretty thankful for ours. 💙

🤖 AI is powerful. But is your business ready to automate with it?

Businesses are moving quickly to find ways AI can save time, improve productivity and automate everyday work.

But there’s an important question that should come before choosing the next AI tool.

This week’s Intelligent Systems Insights | Volume 8 looks at what businesses should consider before moving from simply using AI to actually building it into the way work gets done.

AI Automation Starts with Intelligent Systems

🍪 MONDAY TECH TIP | Before You Click “Accept All”...

We’ve all done it.

A cookie banner pops up on a website and “Accept All” is the fastest way to make it disappear.

But not every cookie serves the same purpose.

Some are necessary for a website to work properly like keeping you logged in or remembering what's in your shopping cart. Others may be used for analytics, advertising or tracking activity across websites.

When a site gives you the option to Manage Preferences, take a few seconds to look before automatically accepting everything.

You may be able to allow only the cookies necessary for the site to function while limiting the rest.

A few extra seconds can give you more control over your online privacy.

🤖 What information is your team sharing with AI?

Employees are using AI to summarize documents, rewrite emails, analyze information, and work more efficiently.
But what happens when customer information, internal emails, financial data, contracts, or other confidential business information gets copied into an AI tool?

The employee may simply be trying to save time—but that one action could create an entirely new data security risk.

In Volume 7 of Intelligent Systems Insights, we’re looking at AI data security, what employees may be sharing without realizing the risk, and why secure AI adoption requires more than simply telling your team to “be careful.”

🔹 Is Your Team Accidentally Sharing Confidential Information with AI?

💡 MONDAY TECH TIP: Slow Down Before You Scan That QR Code

QR codes are everywhere on menus, signs, packages, emails, and even parking meters. But just like a suspicious link, a QR code can send you somewhere you didn’t intend to go.

📱 Before you tap the link that appears after scanning:
• Check that the web address looks legitimate.
• Be cautious if it immediately asks you to log in or enter payment information.
• If something feels off, don’t continue.

Quick rule: Treat a QR code like any other link. Know where it’s taking you before you trust it.
