These ear pads are worth the money rather than throwing away your headset (or putting tape on them or making something else work temporarily). No more need to buy a new headset from the truck-stop just so you can talk. These ear pads look like an original replacement and they take about a minute to install (5 minutes total if you count the time to take off both old pads and install the new ones).
Central Sound made a video on how to remove an install… I suggest using using the end of a toothpick or something to help guide the new ear pad over your old plastic mounting ring just so you don’t tear the new pad and cause the mounting ring doesn’t flex much so it helps to be gentle and patient. And to remove the old ear pad from the headset, just insert a flat head screw driver vertically (from the bottom of the pad toward the headband) along the side, and the clips should pop free. Don’t force, just try a different angle if you are struggling.
