Using GenAI doesn’t have to mean moving sensitive client data into unfamiliar environments.

During a recent episode of TCDI Talks, Dave York explores how bringing GenAI behind the firewall can help keep data safe where it already lives while applying familiar access controls and established processes.

The result is a more controlled approach to GenAI that supports transparency and repeatability.

We’re proud to announce that TCDI has achieved Relativity Gold Provider Partner status.

Since becoming a Relativity partner in 2013, we’ve continued to invest in the people, certifications, processes, and client relationships that support successful RelativityOne programs. This recognition reflects that experience, as well as our team’s commitment to delivering a high level of client satisfaction.

The milestone also comes at an important time for the market. As organizations consider Relativity’s 2028 cloud policy for new matters and workspaces, the conversation should be about more than moving data.

It should begin with understanding the current environment and determining what should move, what can remain, how the transition should be sequenced, and what operating model will best support the organization going forward.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share more of our perspective on developing a practical transition strategy, focusing on cost, risk, workflows, technical dependencies, and long-term business needs.

What does bringing GenAI “behind the firewall” actually mean?

In this clip from Episode 26 of TCDI Talks, Dave York explains how bringing GenAI into a secure, controlled environment allows organizations to innovate within the infrastructure and processes already used to protect client data.

Sometimes, the data doesn’t need to go to the technology. The technology can come to the data.

As Director of Client Data Services, Fitsum Mahdere knows clients depend on more than technology to keep their data secure. They also rely on our team of disciplined, trustworthy individuals who know how to handle sensitive information with the care it deserves.

Hear how Fitsum defines what it means to be secure and why earning trust is part of every project.

In today’s highlight from TCDI Talks Episode 26, Dave York shares the questions every legal team should ask before using GenAI with client data.

Asking the big questions (like where the data is processed and whether access can be restricted) isn’t a barrier to innovation, but rather the guardrails that make AI secure and defensible.

Security starts with trust, and at TCDI, that trust is earned through every decision and every project.

As Project Manager (UK), Attila Erin shares why being secure means more than protecting sensitive data. It also means delivering clear communication and responsible guidance as clients navigate emerging technologies like AI. Hear how that commitment helps build confidence every step of the way.

AI can speed up compliance workflows, but it shouldn't carry legal responsibility.

As valuable as GenAI is with repetitive tasks, Caragh Landry shares why decisions affecting privacy rights should always come back to people guiding the process.

Because the objective isn't to remove experts from the process; it's to free them up to focus on the decisions that require legal judgment.

Nothing brings our team together like having Bill at the grill! 🥩

Yesterday, our team celebrated our CEO’s birthday with a cookout at our Greensboro, NC headquarters. Bill treated everyone to ribs and steak, which is a pretty great way to celebrate if you ask us. It was a fun afternoon filled with good food and plenty of laughs.

Happy birthday, Bill! Thanks for celebrating with the team and, of course, for handling the grilling.

Using AI to draft is not the same as using AI to decide.

Caragh Landry explains why that distinction matters in this clip from TCDI Talks. While GenAI can quickly identify personal data and recommend redactions, organizations remain accountable for every disclosure they make. AI is a great drafter, but legal professionals should stay responsible for signing off on decisions.
