Meet Charley, our Production Intern. Charley is a Junior in the Graphic Communications program at Clemson University and has been an amazing addition to our team for the Spring semester.
Charley has been focused primarily on the menu side of our business. His favorite project was working on menus for Ford's Garage. When asked about his time with our company, Charley shared “I really enjoy doing hands-on work. Seeing the product go from concept to the physical product and knowing I played a part in that is very fulfilling to me. I also enjoy the people I get to work with. Everyone is very friendly, and I never feel uncomfortable asking questions about something I’m unfamiliar with.”
Charley is originally from Pickens, and has two cats, Izzy and Shoog. In his spare time, he enjoys playing chess with his girlfriend. As a matter of fact, they play almost every weekend! Additionally, Charlie likes to build scenes from movies and games he has played with Lego.
Charley is very passionate about keeping our environment and wildlife clean and safe. He’s done several research projects on climate change and environmental issues, and tries to keep his carbon footprint as small as possible by recycling and looking at sustainable alternatives to daily use items. One of the ways Charley recycles is by “thrifting a lot of clothing and hemming and tapering them to fit. My grandma taught me everything about sewing.”
If he could live anywhere in the world, it would be Shanghai, China, so it’s no surprise that he loves salmon sushi rolls and that his favorite restaurant is Ginza Cafe in Easley.
After graduation, Charley wants to work in print production in South Carolina. Charley, we’ll be waiting on your call!
