You may have heard by now... we pulled the trigger on something big. 👀

For us, this one made a lot of sense. Thomas said it best: “Purchasing the Gallus Five was an easy decision for us.”

We’ve worked with Gallus technology for years, and this press gives us more of what matters on the floor: faster changeovers, strong color consistency, a wider web, and the flexibility to move between flexo and digital without sacrificing quality.

We were early adopters of the Gallus Labelfire 340, and we’re excited to keep building on that relationship with Gallus Group and Heidelberg North America.

Dirty press or just a press that’s been put to work? 👀

In Ep 29 of 🎙️, Thomas talks about why Hub has trusted Gallus Group equipment for decades: tight tolerances, solid engineering, and machines that just keep running.

Then we had to address the comments...

One of our videos took off, and plenty of people had something to say about our “dirty” Gallus RCS 330. So, naturally, we wanted to talk about it here.

Thomas explains why UV ink has a habit of getting everywhere, why older press designs can be a little messier, and what actually matters when it comes to keeping a press running and producing quality work.

Turns out, a press can have a few battle scars and still know exactly how to do its job.

Give Thomas a new press and apparently his mind starts going a mile a minute. 🫨

In EP 028 of 🎙️, we’re talking about the newest addition coming to Hub: the Gallus Five.

It’s a digital-flexo hybrid press, nearly 17 inches wide, capable of running up to 328 feet per minute, and it brings digital, flexo and finishing together all in one platform.

Basically, digital is starting to play in flexo territory. And Thomas is pretty pumped about what that could mean for how we run work and what else we can take on.

He calls it a paradigm shift. We call him the chaos causer.
The Five arrives in January and the ideas have already started.

Not every machine in our pressroom prints labels. Some make them perform better.

This weeks edition of features our ETI coater in action.

This machine applies silicone release coatings and precision adhesive patterns that make linerless labels possible. It’s one of those pieces of equipment that quietly does a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes, giving us the flexibility to build label constructions that simply aren’t possible with off-the-shelf materials.

Some things are better together...

Peanut butter and jelly, cookies and milk, digital and flexographic printing.

Today's job is our weekly "beer run" & that loud sound you hear in the background? That's the matte laminate being applied inline before the labels ever leave the press.
