Many smart devices like streaming boxes, Wifi picture frames, smart lights, security cameras, and game consoles (IoT devices) don’t get regular security updates. They can sometimes cause suspicious activity on your network without your knowledge.

If you receive a text that you are not expecting, that you have never received before or that just seems suspicious, pause before responding or clicking! Always verify the information sent and don't automatically click on links. The storms last week not only affected power for many community members, but also impacted our fiber network. We want to give a large thank you to our OEConnect Fiber Techs who worked all through the weekend to restore services to subscribers. We also want to give a large thank you to Margaretville Telephone Company and Proline for their hands and assistance in getting services repaired, allowing us to get through more trouble calls in a quicker and more efficient manner!
