The art of balancing quality and quantity. Being able to provide abundant services and value to each person without expelling quality or diminishing the overall experience. There is nuance and slight variations to accomplish this sensitive relationship. It's no different for any industry of practice, it just might be enacted a little differently. But honoring people, regardless of its specific application, will carry the same level of intentionality and person-ability coming from a deep conviction that we as people matter and have worth because we are made in the image of our Creator. This value doesn't get sacrificed for the sake of "efficiency" or the sake of "profitability." For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and yet forfeits his very soul? What if places of work emphasized and shaped their practices around building honorable and trust-building relationships where each person is empowered to do their job well and this spills over into how they see and treat the people they serve? It's not a default of "customers first," as employees and employers are people too. What if honor is practiced within the company amongst one another and that honor is then just an overflow, an extension to the customers they serve? And what if customers treated companies with gratitude and honor instead of entitlement and implicit distrust? Well it looks like we are back to the importance of valuing people and treating each other with respect and dignity regardless of viewpoint. This is how trust is grown, fostered and intentionally worked towards. It's not without speed bumps along the way, but its a valuable and worthwhile pursuit.
