A material ticket is a strong record, but it is not the full delivery story. For many operations, the last few details are collected outside the ticketing workflow. A jobsite signature. A photo of delivered material. A GPS location. A delivery time. A project reference that needs to match the right job. Those details matter most when someone asks a question later.

Fastweigh Proof of Delivery helps keep the field record connected to the material ticket. Drivers and teams can capture delivery information from a mobile device, and that record is available in the Fastweigh Web Portal for viewing, reporting, billing, and follow-up.

Instead of asking, “Who remembers what happened with that load?” the team can start with the record.

A driver at the kiosk should not have to make more decisions than necessary.

The busiest point in the yard is not the place to ask for extra inputs, force unnecessary choices, or make a driver sort through information that could have been assigned ahead of time. Every extra step or unclear prompt creates another chance for the wrong order, PO, or product to be selected.

A good kiosk workflow is built around the yard it serves. For one site, that may mean a fast lane where orders are auto-assigned. For another, it may mean limiting driver input to just a PO number. For another, it may mean different check-in and check-out steps based on how trucks move through the plant.

Driver kiosks should collect the right information, with the option to remove the rest. When that happens, drivers spend less time figuring out the software and more time moving material.

Most people assume the scale is what controls how fast trucks move through a plant, but much of the real bottleneck sits upstream, at the loader.

If the loader doesn’t have clear visibility into what’s coming next, trucks get backed up. Material staging becomes reactive instead of planned. Even if the scale is running well, the flow is already broken before the truck gets there.

With Fastweigh, dispatch, ticketing, and loadout are all connected. When a truck checks in at the plant, the loader can see truck and product information directly in their mobile app. They know what’s coming, in what order, and what needs to be staged. Trucks move through in a steady flow instead of arriving in bursts that overwhelm the scale.

That’s the difference between a system that records activity and one that actually drives it.

Last week, the entire Fastweigh team came together in Knoxville for our company All Hands meeting. It was energizing to get everyone in the same place and align on where we’re going as a fast-growing company.

One idea kept coming up throughout the week: growth only works if you hang onto your company’s core values the whole way. For us, that means staying grounded in our customers' real operations, building software that fits how work actually happens from the scale house to the back office, and continuing to earn trust by being a true partner to the people who rely on us every day.

We talk a lot about Fastweigh as a product, but bringing our team together in person is always a good reminder of who’s actually behind it. We had a great time with team dinners and lunches, got to watch the Knoxville Smokies at the new Covenant Health Stadium downtown, and somehow still managed to get up early Saturday morning to run the Covenant Health 5K (and even a half marathon for a few of us).

What a great week. We’re incredibly proud of our team and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Most bulk material operations don’t have a system problem. They have a handoff problem.

Dispatch runs in one system, scale in another, and accounting in a third. Everything technically works, but the gaps between those systems create constant friction. Orders get re-entered, tickets don’t match, and billing ends up double-checking everything before it can move forward.

That’s where time actually disappears. Not in big failures, but in small, repeated breakdowns across the workflow.

When those handoffs are connected, things move differently. New orders arrive at the scale immediately. Ticketing is automated, and billing isn’t stuck chasing information. That’s what a system is supposed to do.

Spring reopening season in bulk materials is a lot to manage. New staff getting up to speed, equipment coming back online, and a full schedule hitting you on day one. If you’re running multiple locations, that pressure stacks up fast.

Where things usually break down is at the system level. When operators are jumping between screens, re-entering the same truck and order data, and trying to keep everything in sync manually, even experienced teams slow down.

That shows up immediately at the scale. Longer lines. More mistakes. More back-and-forth. A system built for your operation changes that.

Truck and order data carries across lanes and locations. Repeat trucks are already filled out. New operators can get comfortable quickly and start cutting accurate tickets within a couple hours, not a few days.

When you’re adding locations or bringing on new staff, your ticketing platform should make that easier, not harder.

Everyone is talking about AI in the aggregate and asphalt industry right now. But here is the conversation nobody is having: if your ticket data is incomplete, inconsistent, or stuck in a system you can not get out of, no AI tool is going to save you.

Garbage in, garbage out. That has not changed.

The operations getting the most out of modern software are not the ones who chased the latest technology first. They are the ones who got their data right first: clean ticket records, accurate product codes, real-time reporting they can actually trust.

That foundation is what we obsess over at Fastweigh. Because we know what comes after it: success at every level.

(And yes, the image used in this post was created with AI. Irony intended.) 🙃

Your scale can't sell product if your ticketing system is down.

Most cloud-only solutions go dark when connectivity drops. You're stuck. No tickets. No sales. Revenue stops.

Fastweigh's offline ticketing keeps your operation running even when cell service or internet is gone. Tickets queue locally, sync when connection returns. No downtime. No lost sales.

For rural quarries and remote plants, offline ticketing isn't nice-to-have. It's essential.

Five days in Las Vegas. Hundreds of conversations. A lot of coffee.

We came to ConExpo 2026 to meet the people actually running aggregate and asphalt operations, and that is exactly what happened. Scale house operators. Plant managers. Owners juggling three sites at once. All of them with real problems and zero patience for software that gets in the way.

Every conversation reminded us why we build the way we do: close to the operation, fast to implement, and reliable when it matters most.

Big thanks to the team at Terrastone Services and everyone else who came by Booth N10963. The industry is in good hands.
