Anybody using Kaspersky Antivirus software....you need to remove it and cancel any automatic payments to them. The US Department of Commerce has banned the sale of any software produced by Kaspesky, citing national security concerns as the reason. The good news is that Microsoft has included perfectly good antivirus in Windows 10 and 11, so there's no need to pay anybody else for it. Have a great weekend!

We've gotten a lot of questions about the VPNFilter Malware since it was announced by the FBI. Here's what you need to know.

1. It's real. - This is no hoax...VPNFilter malware has definitely infected thousands of routers, and the FBI reports are legit.

2. You're probably not affected. - There are only a handful of router models that are known to be vulnerable to this exploit....here's the list:

Linksys: E1200, E2500, WRVS4400N

Mikrotik: 1016, 1036, 1072

Netgear: DGN2200, R6400, R7000, R8000, WNR1000, WNR2000

QNAP: TS251, S439 Pro, other QNAP NAS devices running QTS software

TP-Link: R600VPN

3. If you have one of these routers, you need to take action. - The router should be factory-reset, and upgraded to the latest version of its firmware.

4. Everybody should take a moment to consider the security of their home and business networks. - How many of us are using routers with no security enabled, or factory-default passwords? It's time for everyone to up their game a little. No sense making it easy for the bad guys.
