After spending the past few months reaching out to corporate CEOs, presidents of organizations, elected officials, and heads of organizations like the SBA, Chambers, Urban League Of The Upstate, and Press Forward (the president of this organization completely ignored me), here’s the kicker: many of these individuals in their current roles will be awarded trophies, accolades, promotions, public recognition, and so on. However, as a journalist, I feel a moral obligation to ensure that the historical archives accurately reflect their character, attributes, and contributions to society in their reporting.

So, I decided to embark on a journey to investigate (hired and elected) individuals in leadership roles. When you have incompetent leaders, those who prioritize personal gain, or those who determine your value based on nepotism or their own observations, they pose a threat to the very people they claim to serve or were hired to serve. Therefore, it is only fair that the record be fairly reported. I firmly believe in the principle of truth in reporting.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has shown their support, shared their thoughts, commented, reposted, liked, and even sent me direct messages. Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to me. I truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your journey.

Stop scrolling.

Target just issued its 4th "deeply sorry" apology in 3 years.

This time? A children's clown costume modeled by a Black child that evoked minstrel imagery.

They rolled back DEI in 2025. Cut programs for Black employees. Removed the very people who could've said "absolutely not."

Now they're "looking into it." Again.

Viola Davis rejected the apology. Rev. Jamal Bryant called it what it is.

Target's stock rose after the statement.

They're not sorry. They're counting on us forgetting by November.

Receipts: 👇

2023: Pride backlash apology

2024: Black History Month book mislabeling apology

2025: DEI rollback (no apology, just "evolving landscape")

2026: Minstrel costume apology

How many times does a company get to play the fool before we stop buying the act?

This isn't a mistake. It's a pattern.

And until we build media that remembers, investigates, and holds them accountable past the news cycle they'll keep serving us apologies we never asked for and change we never see.

Share this. Save the receipts. Make them answer for it.
