As a sole-income earner, it's scary thinking about taking weeks off from work.. but, I also need to give myself grace.

I've been building my business for 15 years and with that comes perspective.

It's my girls that matter. 🤍

I know clients will still need brands when I come back, I know I won't completely lose my creativity and I know how much this little, soon-to-be, big sis will need my love and attention just as much as her sister.

And I can fully say, I'm very ready for this next chapter as I head into my 39th week ♥️

I'm 48 days out from meeting baby girl and have been thinking a lot about what happens when you let systems make decisions for you. Spoiler: it can get expensive.. and I can attest to that with my recent trip to Labor & Delivery 🫠

So, with that in mind I decided to share some recent trends and business thoughts (plus more) over on my substack today..

Tiered pricing traps: There's a smart way to structure pricing tiers in your business. I've seen it work with my own semi-customs and Showit lite templates, but there are three traps that will kinda kill your positioning (and your mental health ;)

OpenAI ads: I knew this was bound to happen. Right now there's still an early adopter window before the big players dominate. I share my thoughts on this and why it could benefit your business.

Pinterest Predicts: Still one of the most underrated planning tools for us businesses...so get on it! I noticed a recent brand collab that is pulling from Pinterest Predicts already.

A rebrand worth studying - I think we can all take note on how Dulcie handled their rebrand, it was thought-out, environmentally and economically smart, and value based.

It was a year that had a lot of growth, learning, and grace 🤍 As you can tell, I didn't share anything about my business, and thats mostly because I had to prioritize myself and my family (so yeah.. we took a little income hit 😬). But, I had to learn to trust my body, to release a bit of control, and to simply embrace every small moment with my daughter. I believe things happen for a reason and if you recall, 2024 was a very hard year for me. So, to say I needed this year would be an understatement ♥️ I'm grateful for each month it brought and am very much looking forward to 2026 🤍
