Most teams aren’t trying to automate more for the sake of it. They’re trying to make what they already have easier to manage, more consistent, and less dependent on manual effort.

A disaster recovery plan answers an important question: "How do we restore operations after an outage?" A cyberattack adds several more questions.

Which systems were compromised?
How far back does the attack go?
Are the backups clean?
Can recovery happen without exposing restored systems to the same threat?

Those questions make cyber recovery a different planning exercise. It requires protected and isolated backups, tested recovery procedures, clearly defined response roles, and the ability to identify a clean recovery point.
