I want to congratulate my longtime clients and friends on their retirement. 12 years ago, they took a chance on me running their marketing, Facebook, and website. It’s a partnership and friendship that I’ll always cherish.

To our Lampert’s family,
After spending nearly our entire lives behind this counter, Rick and I have made the decision to retire. On July 1st, Lampert’s Market will pass into the hands of new owners who will carry on everything this little store has always stood for.
We aren’t disappearing just yet. Rick and I will still be here a couple of days a week for at least the next month to help with the transition, so you will still see our faces around. But this change also gives us something we have looked forward to for a long time: the chance to cheer on our grandchildren at their games and tournaments, to travel when the mood strikes, and honestly, to do absolutely nothing on the days we feel like it.
This store has been our whole world. The friendships we have made here are more than we could ever count, and so many of them have spanned decades. Getting to serve our friends, our family, and this community for as long as we have is a gift we will never take for granted.
To our employees, both the team we have today and everyone who worked alongside us over the years, thank you. We have been blessed with the best people in Pittsburgh, and our dream of serving this community would never have been possible without you.
To the partners, vendors, and fellow businesses who trusted this little McKeesport store with your products over the years, thank you for your faith in us. You helped us put quality on our shelves and elevate the meals on our customers’ tables. Many of you became far more than business partners. You became lifelong friends.
Lampert’s legacy will continue right here at the same location, with many of the same faces you are used to seeing, the same way of doing things, and the same great quality you have always trusted. The new owners are a local family who have jumped in with both feet, learning our techniques and as much about this business as they possibly can. We wish them every success, and we know Lampert’s will be here for generations to come.
We will introduce them to all of you in the coming days. But for now, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
