Double, double, toil and trouble... what's brewing in your business?

Googled your own business lately? What you see isn't necessarily what your customers see.

It's tempting to type your business name into Google, see where you show up, and assume that's how everyone else finds you. But Google doesn't work that way.

Search results can change depending on where someone is standing, what they've searched for before, and even which device they're using.

And with local search rankings becoming increasingly unpredictable, checking your own position on Google isn't the best way to measure whether your marketing is working.

Are marketers really just professional liars??

Seth Godin wrote a book called All Marketers Are Liars, but we like to think of ourselves a little differently.
