Hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor—this easy baked ziti is a family favorite that’s perfect for weeknights, potlucks, or freezing for later. One pan, all the cheesy goodness!
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
2. Boil 1 lb. ziti in salted water until just shy of al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, cook 1 lb. ground beef over medium-high heat. Season with ½ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper, 1 tsp. garlic powder, and 1½ tsp. Italian seasoning.
4. Stir in 4 cups marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. In a large bowl, mix 24 oz. ricotta, ½ cup grated Parmesan, ½ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper, ½ tsp. garlic powder, and 1 tsp. Italian seasoning.
6. Toss the cooked ziti with the meat sauce until fully coated.
7. Spread half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish. Dollop and gently spread half the ricotta mixture on top, then sprinkle with 1½ cups shredded mozzarella.
8. Repeat the layers with remaining pasta, ricotta, and finish with 1½ cups mozzarella on top.
9. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Let cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
