This is me in 2014, standing in front of in Boston.
I had just graduated college and was working for a tech startup downtown. My friend had just opened the Boston location, and I stopped by to check it out.
Fast forward 10 years.
When I decided to build Hasan was one of the first people I called — to pressure-test the idea, and to ask whether the flooring industry actually needed what I was thinking about building. He told me it did.
Today, Service Buddy is software for flooring, carpet, and rug retailers — and Dover Rug is one of our customers.
Hasan didn’t have to believe in what we were building. He’s been a friend the whole time, and somewhere along the way he also became one of the people who has shaped this company the most — teaching me the industry, pushing us on product, challenging us to build something flooring retailers actually want to use.
It’s funny where life takes you. And it’s fun building things for people you truly care about.
