Title: “Not Just About Me”
We live in a culture here in the United States that often tells us to put ourselves first—“choose you,” protect your peace, and guard your space. And yes, there is wisdom in that. But there is also a deeper truth we can’t ignore.
Scripture reminds us in Genesis 2:18: “It is not good that man should be alone.”
We were never created to live life in isolation or self-centered independence—we were created for connection, responsibility, and relationship.
I had to learn something humbling…
In my own way, I was moving like the world revolved around me—my needs, my timing, my perspective. But life has a way of teaching you differently.
The truth is, none of us are the center.
We are all part of something bigger.
As it says in 1 Corinthians 12:26: “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.”
That means how I move, how I speak, and how I decide… it affects more than just me.
So now, I’m learning to approach each day with a simpler, more humble mindset:
Not just “What’s best for me?”
But “How does my life touch the people around me?”
Because real growth isn’t just becoming better for yourself…
It’s becoming better for others too.
