🤯 We need a bigger table... (And some more DMs!) 🐉🎲
It’s been an absolutely wild month at the Lounge. We’ve been so busy keeping up with the community that I haven't even had time to post about our new merch!
Just look at this D&D night! We had 14 players packed in here rolling dice and fighting imaginary monsters. The energy was incredible, but it means we officially have a great problem: We need more Dungeon Masters! If you are a DM looking to run a campaign, hit us up. We are looking to launch a 3rd (and maybe even a 4th!) weekly campaign.

The community has been asking for it, and we made it happen. Starting this weekend, the 3rd Sunday of every month is officially Pokémon Trade Night at Mena Game Lounge!
We are launching the first one THIS Sunday, Feb 15th, and we’re loading it up with exclusive perks for every Trainer who shows up.

Alright, fess up. Who cast this? 🧊😒
We are currently sitting under 3-5 inches of solid ice. The Winter Orb lock is strong with this one.

The Plan:
Monday: Closed (Standard day off).
Tuesday: TENTATIVE.
We are aiming to be back Tuesday evening, but only if the roads are clear. We aren't risking anyone’s safety for a game of Magic.

⚠️ WEATHER WATCH: Weekend Schedule & The Big Lorcana Finale ⚠️

I’m keeping a close eye on the winter storm forecast for this weekend. You guys know me—I want nothing more than to pack the shop and play some games, but I am not going to ask anyone to drive in bad weather for a tournament. We want ya'll coming back for more tournaments, and Daisy Duck just isn't worth a car accident!
I will be editing this post to give you all a Final "Go / No-Go" Confirmation by Friday/Saturday afternoon for each event right here on this post (check the comments)

🔹 FRIDAY: Friday Night Magic - Casual League Fridays - 5:30 PM
Status: TBD Friday at Noon.

🔹 SATURDAY: Commander Night - 6PM - *Lorwyn Collector Booster up for grabs*
Status: TBD Saturday at Noon.

🔹 SUNDAY: Lorcana "Whispers in the Well" Set Championship- 1PM
Status: TBD Saturday Afternoon.

If we fire off, as always our events are the perfect wrap-up to the set championship Arkansas circuit. We never hold back:

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING SUNDAY:
As many of you know, Ravensburger policy requires these Championships to run in January. Since this is the final weekend, a cancellation gets complicated.
If the weather forces me to cancel Sunday, I am actively communicating with my contacts at Ravensburger to request a "Severe Weather Exception" to reschedule for February.
The goal is to get the approval to move the date so you guys still get a shot at these prizes.
If the exception is denied, I am required to return all prize materials (Promos, Playmat, etc.) to corporate.
I am doing everything in my power to ensure this event happens—either this Sunday or on a rescheduled date.

The wait is finally over. Welcome back to Lorwyn.

For 15 years, the Magic community has been asking to return to this world. When Wizards finally announced it, we made a decision: Mena is not going to run out.
We know what it feels like to get hyped for a release only to be told "sold out" on Day 1. We didn't want that for our players. So, we went a little overboard. 😅

🚀 Mena Game Lounge: 2026 Roadmap 🚀
Happy New Year, everyone! We hope you all had an amazing holiday break.
If you haven’t made a New Year’s Resolution yet, might I suggest: "Visit my favorite local game store more often"? It’s a lot easier to stick to than a gym membership, and way more fun. 😉

First, a major service update:
For those asking—we have officially launched as an Amazon Returns Hub!
We’ve been an Amazon Partner in Mena for about a year and a half delivering packages, but now we can accept returns right here at the shop. It took months of logistics to pull this together, but we are proud to bring this service to the community. It's live, it's free, and we are ready to help.

Community Shoutouts:
We have to give a massive thank you to the Clean Team (the 9 legends who helped us deep clean/inventory the store) and the Potluck Crew (18 people!) who rang in the New Year with D&D. You guys are the heartbeat of this shop.

The 2026 Roadmap: What’s Coming Next?
📅 For the Collectors:
Starting in February, we are launching Pokémon Trade Night on the 3rd Sunday of every month (2pm-6pm).
Bring your binders, complete your sets, and trade safely with community guidance.
📅 For the Players:
Warhammer: Christian is running casual Learn-to-Play & Painting sessions on Saturdays starting at 2:15pm. Plus, a massive order of Official Warhammer 40k Stock is landing this month.
Lorcana & Sunday School: We are hosting Learn-to-Play Sessions every Sunday starting at 2pm! If you’ve been curious about the Disney TCG (or want to learn Chess/Magic), this is the perfect low-stress time to jump in. (And for our vets: The Set Championship is Jan 25th!).
Dungeons & Dragons: Tables are open every Wednesday night. Eli and Scott are running alternate weeks for their respective campaigns. Looking to learn how to play? Come stop by and spectate on a Wednesday evening!
Magic: The Gathering:
FNM & Late Night Commander (Saturdays) continue as always.
New League (Tuesdays): Once the current Sealed League wraps, we are launching a 1v1 Non-Meta Duel-Commander League. It’s the perfect chance to take the cards you earned in the Sealed League and upgrade them into a competitive deck!
📅 Thursday Night Update:
We originally planned to launch a "Chess Knights" league this month. However, we love seeing the gaming community grow, and we see that a local community group is starting up a meet-up of their own!
To support the community and avoid splitting the player base, we are shifting Thursdays to "Lounge Night."
The Vibe: Open Tables, Board Games, Pool, and yes—Casual Chess is still welcome!
We are hitting "pause" on the official store league for now to let the new community group find its footing. For now, Thursdays are just about hanging out.

This is just the start. We have some massive plans in the works for later in 2026 that we can't talk about just yet... but let's just say you're going to want to keep an eye on this page. 🤫
