Thank you, Bailey's Signature Fi****ms, for the shout-out and for the honest review! We will keep them coming!
Lets talk about something I never talk about.
For years I sold lots of SilencerCo stuff. I sold the Hybrid 46, the Sparrow 22 and the 30 cal. Omegas.
It was, at the time, probably the best can on the market. SilencerCo spent millions on advertising, and it worked. Most of the requests I got when I started selling silencers 15 years ago were SilencerCo cans. I sold, lots of them.
I sell pretty much most cans on the market and probably some that you've never heard of.
A new company hit the scene, and they invited me to attend a demonstration at their shop. I went, spent the day shooting everything they had, and I was impressed.
I also sold a lot of Huntertown Arms 22 cans.
Until we did a side-by-side test with the XCaliber. 22 cans. The Xcaliber Eco cans had no first round pop that was evident in most other cans, and it was 9 decibels quieter than the Huntertown. This wasn't tested with cheap sound meters, it was was tested with high dollar professional grade equipment.
For me, it was a no brainer. A 22 can with no first round pop, user serviceable, and 9 decibels quieter. I started selling them. One of the reasons that I sold so many was that we had the ability to try them out, right here. We would often let the customer, with his can, shoot them side by side and let them hear the difference. This was where the chest thumping and the BS stopped. You couldnt fool the ears.
Since then, I have had many salesmen and even CEOs of well-known company's come to visit me with their products. It was always the same story. The had the bestest, latest greatest and quietest designs ever made.
UntiL we tried them out. Using the same platform, with the same ammo, with an Eco on one and the other brand on the other pistol, we would each shoot...and listen.
Not one single time, was their design any quieter. If they were, that's what I'd be selling.
I'm not a brand geek like many people. I hold no loyalty to any particular company. I just want the quietest stuff to shoot.
Thus far, the XCal 22 cans, the 30's, the 45s have been my go-to cans.
I have many customers with multiple brand silencers, that are repeat customers due to the sound level, or in this case lack of it.
We don't talk much. We don't need to try to sell them, we just let you shoot some and let your ears be your guide, we want you to be happy and satisfied with your purchase.
XCaliber doesn't advertise like most other silencer companies. They aren't as well known, but they are made here in Arkansas, so if you'd like to support the home-grown folks, you might consider them.
But hey, don't take my word for it. Come try one out. I have demos. Or, bring your own gun and we'll screw one on it.
Here's a pic. Unfortunately, these, are already sold, I can't keep them in stock. But come see me and I'll get you one.
