Big news for communications infrastructure in Minnesota.

702 Communications and Fiber Minnesota have announced our intent to merge, creating Minnesota's largest independent telco-owned telecommunications and fiber transport provider.

Building on years of collaboration through Aurora Fiber Optic Networks, the combined company will operate a carrier-grade network spanning more than 10,000 route miles and serving hundreds of communities across Minnesota and the surrounding region.

"This is a natural evolution of 702 and Fiber Minnesota's partnership," said Ken Budd, CEO of 702 Communications. "With our combined resources, expertise, and network assets, we can serve a broader customer base, from multi-dwelling unit properties and small businesses to national carriers and hyperscale operators."

It’s a fun nod to our long-standing partnership with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks! 7:02 is more than a start time - it’s a symbol of a partnership rooted right here in the heart of Fargo-Moorhead. Last night, the 702 team and their families celebrated that bond on the party deck to watch our hometown team under a perfect summer sky. Thank you, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Baseball for a great night of baseball!
