Behind every glass of clean water is a team that makes it possible.

This week, we’re celebrating the dedicated professionals in the water and wastewater industry who work behind the scenes to keep our community healthy, safe, and running smoothly.

From ensuring safe drinking water and treating wastewater to responding to emergencies day and night, these essential workers help make modern life possible. Their expertise, commitment, and around-the-clock efforts keep critical services flowing to our homes, schools, businesses, and hospitals.

Join us in thanking MPW's Water Department and all water and wastewater professionals for the important work they do every day.

National attention. Local impact. Community benefit.

MPW was proud to welcome U.S. Department of Energy Assistant Secretary for Electricity Katie Jereza and Kristin Hanks-Bents from the Iowa Economic Development Authority to Muscatine as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Powering America Road Show.

Their visit highlighted work underway in Muscatine to make MPW's electric system stronger, more reliable, and better prepared for the future. With support from a $1.3 million Office of Electricity grant, MPW is investing in improvements that help protect dependable service for local homes, businesses, and critical community needs.

We’re proud to see Muscatine recognized nationally — and even prouder of the local impact these projects will have for MPW customers for years to come.

⚡ Building a stronger grid.
⚡ Investing in reliability.
⚡ Powering Muscatine forward.
