May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're proud to spotlight Community Mental Health of Ottawa County (CMHOC).
Behind every mental health organization are the people who show up every day to do the work. The educators, clinicians, case managers, and advocates who meet people where they are.
Meet Rodrigo, a Health Educator at CMHOC. Watch his story 👇
CMHOC partners with people living with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders to improve lives across Ottawa County. Their team is the reason this work happens — and why families across the community have a place to turn.
Mental health is workforce health. Strong communities start with people who have the support they need to thrive — at home, at work, and everywhere in between.
Strong communities don't happen by accident. Since 2016, the Ottawa County Mental Health Millage has invested $50 million in mental health and community stability — funding programs like Senior Reach, the Holland Drop-In Center, Pathways to Better Health, and dozens more. The millage renewal is on the ballot, and it's how Ottawa County keeps the community in community mental health.
