There’s something inspiring about seeing young people get excited about technology.
Our CEO, John Ahlberg, recently attended a career fair, "Cultivating Careers 2026" in Montana, where he had the opportunity to speak with high school students about careers in technology, AI, and entrepreneurship.
John shared the story of how Waident was built over 22 years ago and how the company has continued to grow and thrive today. The students had good questions, from what it takes to build a business to what a day in the life of an IT Help Desk Technician looks like.
One of the biggest hits among the audience was the 3D-printed fidgets that John brought along. Students were fascinated by how they were made and excited to interact with technology in such a hands-on way.
At Waident, we believe it’s important to give back to the community and help guide future generations. Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one idea, or one encouraging word to make a lasting impact on someone’s future.
We’re grateful to be part of opportunities like this and to inspire the next generation of technology leaders.
