Another Galena Girls outing is in the books! 🧡👩💼🎉
Waident’s Jackie D'Ambrosia and Brenda Quinn joined 44 amazing women from the credit union community and their business partners for three days in Galena filled with networking 🤝, learning 💡, giving back 🧡 and, of course, plenty of fun! 😁
This year’s theme was Battle of the Bands 🎶🎸, which meant karaoke! 🎤 Brenda’s house took on the Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right,” while Jackie’s performed “Zombie” by The Cranberries. 🎵 Definitely a good way to get everyone out of their comfort zone! 😂👏
But Galena Girls is about much more than having fun. 🧡 Every year, the group supports a charity, and this year they raised an incredible $25,000 for Sarah’s Circle 💰🙌, a Chicago nonprofit helping women experiencing homelessness (https://sarahs-circle.org/).
There was a little business mixed in, too! 💻☕ This year’s breakfast roundtable focused on AI 🤖, giving Jackie and Brenda a chance to share some of what we’re seeing at Waident and talk about keeping company data safe 🔐 while exploring AI.
A huge thank you to everyone who makes Galena Girls such a special tradition! 🧡👏 Here’s to women connecting, supporting each other, giving back 🫶 and having a great time doing it! 🎉🥂
