The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention of Greater Philadelphia held its annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk, a heartfelt event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for su***de prevention, reducing mental health stigma, and supporting those affected by su***de. On October 10, our creative team at Helm had the privilege of attending at The Navy Yard to document the inspiring people involved and their stories. This day was a powerful testament to the strength of community, bringing together survivors, individuals with lived experience, families, friends, and allies with a unified mission to save lives. Su***de remains a leading cause of death in the United States, and understanding it is crucial for prevention. The funds raised at the Out of the Darkness Greater Philadelphia Walk directly support AFSP’s mission of saving lives and bringing hope to those impacted by su***de through research, advocacy, and educational programs in schools, workplaces, and communities across Pennsylvania. We were very grateful to have the opportunity to be with the community and sponsor the photography for this event.
