Secondary containers need full labels, not just abbreviations. When chemicals are transferred from their original container, OSHA requires a label that clearly identifies the substance and its hazards. “Cleaner” or “Disinfectant” alone usually isn’t enough.

Having an Emergency Action Plan is only the first step. Your team should also walk through evacuation routes and communication roles so everyone knows what to do.

The ADA recommends drills and training at least annually to help teach employees about their responsibilities in an emergency. Drills also reveal gaps in communication or layout issues that your written plan might not catch.

Training dental assistants often means dentists and senior staff repeating the same instructions during busy clinical days. Chairside Excellence Academy courses were designed specifically for dental assistants, helping them understand chairside workflows and what to expect during procedures.
