Implementing major infrastructure improvements, such as new signals or stop signs, starts with meeting rigorous warrant requirements. These warrants serve as the essential gatekeepers for project funding and approval, making accurate data your most valuable asset in the planning phase.

Quality Counts provides the certified, high-fidelity traffic data necessary to conduct safety studies with total confidence. Our video-based collection offers the "inarguable proof" you need to satisfy regulatory standards and move forward with funding requests. When you partner with us, you’re ensuring that your engineering interventions are backed by the precise, verifiable numbers required to secure investment and enhance mobility.

We’re celebrating 10 years with David Bernard, Associate Vice President of Operations at QC!
David joined QC as a Project Manager and quickly established himself as a hardworking, dependable leader who was always willing to step up and help wherever needed. Over the last decade, he has played a major role in the growth and success of our operations, while continuing to motivate those around him through his positive attitude, leadership, and team-first mentality.
We are extremely grateful for everything David has contributed to QC over the past 10 years and are excited for what the future holds together.
Congratulations on this milestone, Dave, and thank you for all you do! 💪

Modern urban mobility no longer focuses only on vehicles, it’s about understanding how pedestrians, cyclists, and micomobility users navigate as well.

With more multimodal users on streets and paths, the need for granular data has never been higher. At Quality Counts, our in-house video processing allows us to distinguish between different modes of travel with high precision. Whether you are conducting a "before and after" study for a new bike lane or analyzing pedestrian behavior at a busy transit hub, we provide the timestamped event data you need to justify infrastructure investments.

Meaningful mobility improvements start with seeing the whole picture. By integrating multimodal counts into your planning, you aren’t just counting traffic, you’re measuring the pulse of the community.

Intersections are the most complex nodes in any network, but capturing accurate data shouldn’t be the hardest part of your project. Quality Counts provides reliable, video-based data, from turning movements to saturation flow, safely collected via ground-level, pole-mounted cameras.

With a massive inventory of nearly 3,000 video cameras, we offer the scalability to cover entire corridors concurrently. Every dataset is verified through automated QA and backed by visual evidence in the QC Hub, giving you the inarguable proof needed for sound engineering decisions. Contact us today to get the accurate data you need to improve mobility.

Did you know that a standard four-way intersection is home to 56 potential "conflict points", those being the specific spots where the paths of road users cross and the risk of a collision exists.

Of these, 32 are vehicle-to-vehicle, but for advocates, the most critical number is the 24 vehicle-to-pedestrian conflict points. Every one of these represents a moment where a life is at risk if infrastructure, timing or human abilities fail.

Safe intersection design isn't about moving cars faster; it’s about reducing the frequency and severity of these conflicts.

Eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries starts with understanding the context. We provide the accurate data that turns a complex intersection into a predictable, safe environment.

Did you know that the 85th percentile speed is the industry standard for setting "credible" and enforceable speed limits?

It represents the speed at or below which 85% of motorists travel under free-flowing conditions. Traffic engineers rely on this metric because it reflects the collective judgment of the majority of drivers regarding what is safe and reasonable for a specific stretch of road.

As Vision Zero initiatives expand, the conversation is shifting. While the 85th percentile tells us how people are driving, "Target Speed" focuses on how we want them to drive. Our equipment and technicians are certified provide the high-precision data necessary to identify where current behavior and safety goals diverge, allowing for better-informed engineering interventions.

In an industry where timing is everything, waiting weeks for manual video transcription is not an option.

At Quality Counts, we bridge the gap between raw footage and actionable insights using DataLens, our proprietary video processing application. By leveraging machine vision and artificial intelligence, DataLens accurately tabulates and classifies vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists with up to 99% precision.

This AI-driven approach doesn’t just improve accuracy, it accelerates your project timeline. With the ability to reduce turnaround to as little as one day, we help you move from data collection to engineering analysis faster than ever before

Quality Counts doesn't just count cars, bikes and pedestrians – we detect the risks they face.

Our in-house AI identifies near-miss events from the same video we use to process turning movement counts. This proactive approach to traffic safety provides engineers and planners a critical dataset with which to intervene before a crash occurs.

Better data leads to safer roads.
