🚨 Computer Virus Alert from Country Computer Guy 🚨
There's an email virus/worm going around that spreads through attachments — and it can email itself to everyone in your contacts, even if you didn't do anything wrong.
Here's how to protect yourself:
1. Don't open attachments without verifying with the sender — even if it's from someone you know. If it looks off or you weren't told to expect it, don't click it.
2. Never click "Enable Content" or "Enable Macros" on a Word or Excel file you weren't expecting.
3. If it feels urgent or vague ("Check this out!", "Invoice attached"), stop. Call or text the sender first to ask, "Did you really send me this?"
4. Watch for zip files, .exe files, or files ending in odd extensions — these are red flags.
5. Keep your antivirus updated and let it run and scan regularly.
If you think you clicked something bad:
- Disconnect from Wi-Fi/network right away.
- Change your email password from a different device.
- Call us — we'll help you clean it up safely.
📞 Country Computer Guy is here to help. When in doubt, don't click — just call!
