Redesigning your website isn’t just about making it look different… more trendy, cleaner, or similar to a business you admire.

Your first priority should be to make sure potential customers immediately know they are in the right place and where to go next. Good navigation and layout are key!

Secondly, design should always add to and not distract from your message online. Don’t let flashy colors or effects overshadow what you want your customer to experience when visiting your page.

If your website is less than effective, let’s chat. I can help you think through the factors of your design, implement changes to your Squarespace page, and make sure you’re comfortable keeping up with your page moving forward.

A good idea doesn’t always need a big investment to find out if it works.

Before building the full course, try one live workshop.

Before opening a storefront, try a pop-up or local market.

Before creating an entire product line, launch one or two products.

Before adding a new service, offer a smaller version to a few existing clients.

Before investing in an expensive platform or system, see if a simpler version of the process works first.

And pay attention to more than compliments.

“I love this idea!” is encouraging—but a booking, preorder, deposit, signup, or even a strong click-through tells you much more about what people will actually do.

Start small enough that you can learn. Then use what you learn to adjust, improve, and decide where it’s worth investing more.

Sometimes testing an idea isn’t about proving that it will work. It’s about discovering what needs to change before you go bigger.

Have you ever caught yourself saying…

“Don’t judge my website. I’m still working on it.”

You’re not alone.

For many business owners, their website gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list while they’re busy serving clients, improving their services, and keeping everything running behind the scenes.

But your website is often someone’s first impression of your business.

It should feel like an extension of the work you’re already doing and not something you hesitate to share.

Investing in your online presence will allow you to reflect the professionalism, care, and expertise you already bring to your clients.

Because your website shouldn’t be the thing you’re apologizing for.

It should be the thing you’re excited to share.

It's my birthday, so naturally I thought: I create plenty of posts for other businesses; let me have AI create a birthday post for me...

My prompt was: "Create a birthday graphic for me using my brand colors and fonts, a 4:5 layout, and keep it clean and modern."

This is what it came up with!

Now I'm curious...
How many of you use AI for things like birthday invitations, party graphics, or holiday cards?

One of the biggest misconceptions I see among entrepreneurs is the belief that they need to keep changing their business until it feels successful.

More often than not, that’s not the issue.

They already know what they do well. They already have satisfied clients. They’ve put in the work to build something worthwhile.

What they’re really looking for is a presentation that reflects the quality of what they’ve already built.

A website they’re proud to send people to.

An ebook that feels as professional as the information inside.

Social media graphics that look consistent with the business they’ve worked so hard to grow.

Good design doesn’t replace your expertise; it helps communicate it.

Sometimes the next step isn’t another new idea. It’s making sure the first impression matches the value you already provide.

One of the things I enjoy most about working with repeat clients is building on what we've already created together.

After designing several ebooks for this client, we were able to carry familiar design elements into this three-part workshop series—creating slides that not only work well for each presentation but also feel connected to the resources participants have already seen.

That kind of consistency helps strengthen a brand over time. Instead of every project feeling separate, each new piece becomes part of a larger visual story.
It's one of the advantages of a long-term design partnership: every project has a foundation to build on, making the brand feel more cohesive, recognizable, and intentional with each new resource.

Grateful for clients who continue to trust me with their growing collection of materials and for the opportunity to help bring each new project to life.

Starting a business requires courage.

You develop your skills, refine your services, and pour countless hours into building something you’re proud of.

Then comes a different challenge: communicating that value to everyone else.

For many entrepreneurs, that looks like:
• writing website copy
• creating lead magnets
• designing social media graphics
• keeping everything consistent across platforms

It’s a completely different skill set, which is why so many capable business owners feel stuck at this stage.

If that’s you, don’t let it make you question your business or your expertise. Presenting your work is just another part of the journey—and it’s one you don’t have to navigate alone.

Every successful business is built with the help of others. Sometimes that support comes through a mentor, sometimes an accountant, and sometimes a designer who helps your presentation reflect the quality of what you’ve already built.

Another successful projected completed!

For this participant workbook, the client had a very specific vision: a visual journey that mirrored the story inside the book—from a broken city to a fully restored kingdom over the course of each chapter.

To bring that vision to life, I used AI as a creative tool to generate the cinematic landscapes for the cover and chapter backgrounds, carefully guiding each scene to match the client's detailed specifications. I then designed the entire workbook in Canva, creating the typography, layouts, branding, and editable elements so the client can easily update the workbook in the future without being locked into flattened artwork.

I love combining the efficiency of new technology with thoughtful design.
