Big one to celebrate this year! Be Pro Be Proud is turning 10! For a whole decade, using hands-on simulators and Meta Quest headsets to bring technical careers to life, they've been showing students that a career in the skilled trades is something to be proud of, and we couldn't agree more. To mark the milestone, we’re teaming with BPBP for ten special events across our data center communities. Starting with the Be Pro Be Proud National Conference!

We were honored to be part of a conversation about how training, technology, and real career exposure come together to open doors for people in the communities we live and work in. We were happy to speak to a full house of 100+ workforce development and education leaders, employers, and policy makers from 15+ states! 🔧⚡🏗️

🏗️ America's Workforce Academy — the largest private-sector skilled trades commitment in American history: paid training that leads to an industry-recognized credential and a guaranteed job for graduates.

🥽 AI Glasses Impact Grants — Wearable technology delivering guided workflows and real-time expert access on the job site

🎓 Be Pro Be Proud — Hands-on career exploration in skilled trades through immersive Mobile Workshop experiences

Our BPBP partnership has engaged ~70,000 students to date through statewide support in Tennessee, New Mexico, and Texas and brought the program to data center communities in Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio. ICYMI: we celebrated our 2026 Meta Data Center Community Action Grant recipients — and it was a joy to bring together this year’s grant recipients, community partners, Meta team members, and local leaders!

Through our Data Center Community Action Grants program, Meta provides funding for nonprofits and schools — addressing critical community needs by putting technology to use for community benefit, enabling people to build strong, sustainable communities, improving local STEAM education — to support the long-term vitality of Rosemount and surrounding cities. Learn more on this year’s projects:

Dakota County Technical College: To remove academic barriers for low-income students by providing reliable laptop loans that ensure equal access to higher education and workforce preparation.

District 196 Foundation: To eliminate hunger-related learning barriers by providing consistent weekend and school-break meal support for students in the Rosemount community.

Eagan Community Foundation: To strengthen community resilience by developing a cohort of 15 local leaders equipped with skills in collaborative problem-solving and inclusive leadership.

Rosemount Apple Valley Eagan Public Schools: To standardize instructional technology across 20 school sites using advanced feedback devices that streamline rehearsal workflows and improve differentiated learning.

Rosemount High School: To transform the computer science classroom into a tech-enhanced collaborative hub with large-format displays and flexible seating that mirrors professional STEM environments.

Rosemount High School Foundation: To modernize equipment in educational electives and launch a vertically aligned STEAM lesson pathway for students across grades 4–12.

We're grateful to Dakota County Technical College for hosting us in your beautiful space, Party Perfect LLC for the show-stopping balloons, Slate and Honey Catering for a food and beverage spread that was as gorgeous as it was delicious, and Rosemount Floral by Lucky Lola for the stunning ceremony florals and bouquets for our grant recipients.

Big news in clean energy ☀️🔋

Last week, Meta announced two partnerships pushing the boundaries of what's possible for powering AI infrastructure.

We're working with Overview Energy to bring solar power from space to Earth—satellites collecting sunlight around the clock and beaming it to solar farms on the ground. And we're partnering with Noon Energy on ultra-long-duration storage that can hold clean energy for days, not just hours.

These are the kinds of investments that help strengthen the grid and support reliable power for our data center operations here and across the country.

🌎🧊 April is Earth month — and we're proud to share a closer look at the water restoration work happening in Los Lunas.

Water is a shared and vital resource — and at Meta, our goal is to become water positive in 2030. That means restoring more water than we consume in our operations, while partnering with local communities to boost supply, enhance quality, and protect ecosystems.
